Air Down Show Down Featuring Apex Designs Rapid Air Valve

I purchased some new air down valves for my CJ7 and wanted to test them against other products that I have used over time. What I learned was eye opening. Im including links to the products in the video for reference if anyone wants to see them.

Nice, comprehensive video. Good job. I have always used the inexpensive brass or aluminum screw on deflators. You can quickly screw them on all four stems, and then use a stick gauge to easily measure/monitor the first tire, once the first tire is at the required pressure, you take it off and the other three are basically ready in sequence. No messing with Schrader valves that break or cross thread, or expensive gauges and/or expensive finicky deflators. The monster replacement stems seem cool, but they are almost too fast, too easy to over shoot your pressure, too expensive, and too difficult to install. I’ve never seen one break, but they look fragile. The new screw on ones seem too tall and too easy to damage also. I’ll stick with my cheap screw on bullet-proof deflators, and a simple stick style pressure gauge. KISS - Keep It Simple Silly.

I can air down my 42 from 28 to 9psi in 20 seconds with the original Apex valve. Never going to any other setup. Love them.

I have the jt brooks tire deflators and they're not bad these look a little faster and easier not having to thread them on and off. Did you test filling the tire thru the new valves? My only concern since I daily drive my rig is people either stealing them or pulling the balance and coming out to flat tires.

I didn’t do an air up test. They would all be close as they all use a standard schrader valve. They do make an air chuck that is supposed to allow more air to come out of your hose.
