- Welcome back to another there and back in a day challenge where viewers challenge me to see how far I can get in a day from Glastonbury with the added twist of achieving a goal when I get there.
Todays challenge was actually a real pleasure because i discovered that I really like this town and I will be comming Back
Well done on the challenge Gabriel a beautiful cathedral and thanks for the historical accompanying information ✌🏿✌️✌🏽☮️☮️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
My pleasure!
Brilliant challenge Gabriel so enjoyed the beautiful cathedral and free bus travel 👍💕💜💕
Me too I am going back to climbed that tower
😂 excellent video Gabriel, Hereford cathedral amazing, Thank You 🙏 😊
Thank you too! It's a brilliant place
Brilliant Gabriel. Not just a stunning cathedral but a stunning railway footbridge, which itself is a cathedral among footbridges. The seats in that class 197 actually looked comfortable, which would certainly make a difference from the "ergonomically designed" ironing boards we've suffered from on other trains (and buses) for years.
Thank you Bernie. It’s a beautiful station
That was a really fab. vicarious day out Gabriel! So pleased you liked my suggestion of visiting Hereford and the Mappa Mundi (although maybe lots of others suggested it too!) - the Cathedral is so beautiful - especially loved seeing all the stained glass and the fan vaulting in the ceiling. Your historical narration really enhanced the visit - I learnt a lot! Thank you for another great challenge ☺️
Thank you for your reply and thank you for your suggestion. I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot myself. Also I fell in love with the city and the cathedral and the people, everyone there is so friendly, and did I mention Oceans, probably the best fish and chips I have ever had.
I will be going back very soon as I want to take the tower tour in the cathedral so watch out for that one 😀
And yes you were the only person to suggest it so thank you 😀😀
☺️☺️
Amazing, 72 miles! Last week it took me 3 hours to get 20 miles as the crow flies, Bristol-Cheddar, on public transport! Good thing I wasn't going there for a day out in Cheddar, that would be 6 hrs travelling time there & back! (I went there to do the Strawberry Line walk in reverse and came back to Bristol from Yatton). It cost £12.80 total. That was Bristol - WSM by train, then bus to Cheddar. The only other way is bus Bristol - Wells, (1 hr) then a once every 2 hours community bus, or a £25 taxi!
Oh the joys of rural life 🤬
Brilliant video thanks, Gabriel. 😊
My pleasure!
Great choice of destination. lovely town. Oxfam bookshop opposite the Cathedral and tasty food choices in the indoor market.
Definitely
Hi Gabriel! Another excellent video!
Good to see you in Herefordshire.
Love your channel and how you show the community of Glastonbury and wider area.
I love how you advocate for public transport - I try to do that on my own channel too.
Amazing that bus was free (and electric ⚡).
Great work!
Cheers,
Paul
Hi Paul. Thanks for your comment. It was a great trip to an amazing city and one I will be going back to sooner rather than later, I am going to take the tower tour at the cathedral and there is a small matter of a certain chippy that makes the most amazing fish and chips.
I hopped over to your site and there is a load of good stuff over there 👉 I have subscribed and will be having a good look later.
Keep in touch
Gabriel
@@GlastonburyGabriel thank you for the sub! Yes, please keep in touch. You've a great channel here.
Great vid Gabriel 👍🏻
ThankbyouvPatricia
Great video! I enjoy watching these type of vlogs too!
Glad you like them! There's another one coming soon
Very enjoyable ! I think going there with good weather helps. We’ve had so many rainy days that you were fortunate. Free anything these days is very unusual- free bus & free entry to the beautiful cathedral- it should draw tourists in! ( I know you would make a voluntary donation!) In contrast my son & companion went to Wells Cathedal the other day!
Can I suggest Tewkesbury Abbey? As far as I know still free! And the town, rivers & battle ground very interesting. Thanks Gabriel!
@@dianarolph1770 Hey there thank you for this. First if all Tewkesbury Abbey is in the list what a great idea.
Please do not get me started on the money grabbing, tourist fleecing, bread head trustafarians Who run Wells. I will no longer go there or film any events there. I guarantee you will have a fantastic day in Hereford. I am heading back soon to climb the tower
