That's like saying "This dude can play an amazing song on a piano within minutes". Of course anyone can do something impressive quickly when he/she has invested years or even decades in learning beforehand in order to do it in minutes.
Well, If you got the songwriting ready - sure! But this song took much longer to be created in it´s final form. The proof can be found on the demo versions of this track on the deluxe editions of the first albums ;)
This is so good to see im really happy by this ive actually been into creating music of my own mostly am into breakcore and other genres like dnb etc but songs like this take me on got me into those genres ive loved that song as a kid and seeing it as a cover on a panio keyboard midi type device is so amazing to me i love it so much i have been feeling mixed these few days happy sad angry etc etc i was sad before when i saw this this has made the rest of my night tysm for you doing this you got a new sub man keep it up with these covers of songs on the keyboard
I mean, it's nice and all, and I surely don't have the skill for it, but... "perfectly played and timed"? Did you hear the very first beat as he was playing it? He completely messed up the tempo on almost every beat, but the device "made it fit" the correct tempos. There is some level of handholding there, clearly you don't need to hit everything perfectly, the device will adjust so it gets perfect when playing after.
@@beanpasteposts Not at all, far from me to think they shouldn't use a tool that makes their job easier and get a better result with less effort. It's just... credit where credit is due, you know? Let's not praise someone for playing something "perfectly timed" when the tool is the one taking care of that. Doesn't take away from the rest of the work, of course.
@@AndreGoersch there's nothing wrong with using quantization in my opinion, but it does take away a lot of the skill needed to actually layer all the instruments on top of each other without it sounding like absolute dog
@Marcus not really. I have the same Akai, but not the money for a decent computer or music software. I can't make any proper music with it... It was a waste of money for me.
@Vulmen because I obviously didn't know beforehand that the device itself and the software that comes with it can hardly do anything... I've looked into some other software. It's either garbage, needs a better computer or everything you really need are paid add-ons. With no proper computer and the money for some ok software you can't really do a thing with this Akai mini.
This was really KQQL I'm glad I visited. That song is a classic of the 80's - the original version was recorded and released in 1984 in the month of October Happy New Year 2023 to everyone God bless
The song was recorded in 1984-1985 and I was in first year at high school when this song came out. The girls all went nuts for this song, all because of the lead singer Morten Harket. It was on Top of the Pops, which back then was the main TV program for music. It was brilliant. None of today's pop stars would have made the Top 40 back then.
Great cover !!!! Awesome job!! Can you also suggest, how do you record your live looping videos and mix the audio after it?? I mean, in a budget setup like mine, i have to find a way to record the system audio using obs and merge the timing with the video.. Please suggest me , how else I can record and mix for live looping.
Nice! I'm curious, though, how did you get your sounds? I have a keyboard, too, but I want to get sounds from it that sound really cool. Do you mind sharing what virtual instruments (VST) you used?
What software did you use? Was this a single take? I can see that there's some auto-quantization going on but I'm not sure if that's happening automatically right after you end up recording a cycle. I'm trying to make stuff like this in a live-looping session.
No matter how many times you hear that Riff, you just feel good! 😎
100% true
Yes! Even after several decades!!
Agree. Such good memories.
Now imagine being a 17 year old girl seeing them live in concert when this came up. Hoarseness for days.
@@JulianaBlewett Right! 👍😎
40 years later and this song is still relevant today!
You're not the last of us who thinks that! ;)
Ещё столько же будет актуальна и популярна!
Great music never dies man , it’s immortal …
If it's from the 80s
It will always be relevant
There's no relevancy, It's just good. Weezer did a brilliant cover about eight years ago. It's just a great song..
One cannot help but just feel outstanding when you hear that riff. I was a kid when that song hit.
I turn 70 next month and this is still my favorite song of all time
Happy Birthday in advance! I turn 40 in just over 3 months! 😊
What a coincidence
Awesome! I'm getting up there too and would never have expected to still love this kind of music at my age, not sure why I thought that.
Happy birthday (a bit late) 🎉
man this song breaks all the laws of universe and time , what a masterpiece .💓💓
There are some technological advances that are absolutely amazing, and that little instrument is a great example of just one of them!
That was brilliant, seeing the whole song constructed! 👍👌
Lovely. I was about 11 when that song came out and I remember hearing it for the first time. Gets you every time.
Bringing the classic back to life! Nice job.
Pura nostalgia! Parabéns... ficou incrível.
It's amazing what can be done these days. A couple of minutes and a great rendition of a popular song.
Enough time figuring out all the presets though, if you want them dialed in right.
That's like saying "This dude can play an amazing song on a piano within minutes".

A couple minutes preceded by years of practice on the keys and countless hours of software learning

I think what he meant was that even with the knowledge, back then you needed a lot of equipment more work to record this song.
This is so awesome! You're so talented, my guy.
Two minutes is enough to make a masterpiece.
Well, If you got the songwriting ready - sure! But this song took much longer to be created in it´s final form. The proof can be found on the demo versions of this track on the deluxe editions of the first albums ;)

The sign of a talented artist - make it look easy and effortless even though you've done a ton of work to get it where it is!
my life story right there
Simply brilliant, got it down to every detail!

One alone man and so much MUSIC🎵🎶👍!
Thank you, dude👍
It looks easy, but I'm sure it takes A TON OF SKILL, especially since everything was perfectly played and timed every time! Thank you!

He used quantization. Nothing wrong with that btw.

The loop recording uses auto quantization.. And i think that's a bit annoying though.

This put a smile on my face.
This cover is by far the most danceable. Good work
That is awesome!!! You have much talent!!!
Awesomely awesome. That song doesn't age, it's more than a classic 👌
The greatest music is "timeless"
Well done man. Keep it going. That was awesome.

So nicely done. A classic. Thank you!
