Hey guys on June 1, 2020 I took this 1001 exam and failed. Instead of feeling down I came back to these videos and brushed up on the info. June 6, 2020 I retook the exam and passed while increasing my score by 100 points. Moral of the story is don't quit guys you can do it!

Did you just learn through his videos or did you have other sources and previous knowledge? Regardless thats some quick studying lol and very impressive! @ I got the retake bundle for insurance. I figured that if I failed, I would know where my knowledge was lacking and I could guarantee the second half of the exam. I also watched this really long video on the 901.. this video and the other video were basically all of my study components. Plus my company pays for it if I pass both tests...if edit: I am A+ certified now. Onto Network+. Guess who's videos I am watching :)

Thank you for this top quality course. I have passed both 220-1001 and 220-1002 from the first attempt. Within 2 weeks I was employed as an IT support engineer! :-D
This video series alone taught me more than the $200 book I wasted my money on. These made me pass the test today and I can only say that if you have watched these videos you have nothing to worry about.
I passed the first part of the a+ exam today with a score of 875, i crammed all of these videos in the span of a week took notes and then took 3 practice tests scoring in the high 80s . Only a few questions had me hung up, and alot of the questions you can work through by process of elimination .
Finished the whole video series yesterday and took my 1001 today and I passed. Messer is really good at giving straightforward information. All of the information in his videos were on the exam. I can't thank you enough Professor!
@@josephsmith9703 (1/2) Yea I used this video series as a source, I also bought his study guide, and I used exam compass. But during the school year I had taken a course based on the 901/902 but I didn't certify till now. So, since the 901 was discontinued i used Messer's videos as a way to refresh my mind on all the material on the test. But if you have a good knowledge of IT and specifically hardware this test isn't difficult. You would just have to know some Networking.
(2/2) From what I experience the test wasn't too difficult and was actually pretty easy to me. I ended up getting a 727 with about 2 weeks of just watching Messer's videos and taking notes. Its just how easy you can retain the information.
@@thedrewboy1 was there questions where you select three multiple choice answers? im not very smart, professor messer videos are too much info for me all at once
alittlebitofdlc the exam isn’t difficult as long as you know your topics. The exam is made for you as a technician to pay attention to detail. Performance based questions are going to be the first questions, typically 5 or 6 PBQs. In my case, the exam focuses on networking and troubleshooting. Just take your time studying, review topics you don’t know too well, get Professor Messor’s notes (they’re handy to read while waiting to take the exam). Best of luck to you!

Man, I really drilled this hard. I want to say I've memorized 95% of this playlist's content, which took roughly 64 hours, including conceptualization, extra research, and Anki flash cards to really drill into my brain. Even though I've worked in IT for a year, I learned a lot of really practical things in this playlist. You're the man, Professor Messer! I feel very ready to take on the 1001!

Im happy to report I passed my 2201 the other day! Got a 730, very happy with that. Thank you Professor! For anyone who hasnt gotten them, I highly recommend getting the Professor's notes and practice exams. The questions were quite similar to what I experienced on the exam, and the notes were invaluable. Anyway, best of luck to you all. I had studied, watch all professor messer video, took practice exams and still failed. The test didn’t have a lot of the things I had memorized and almost all questions were troubleshooting, like chose the best option

@@ICAN324 Sorry, I'm late on this. I didn't memorize the terms, but I tried to understand each objective. Some, I left alone if I just couldn't grasp the concept no matter how hard I tried. The key is taking practice tests to see which section you're weak at.
Its 8:50pm on a saturday night 8/28/2021 and I have just watched all 74 videos... about to go over all of Professor Messer 220-1001 course notes and prof Messer 220-1001 practice exams. I take the 220-1001 CompTIA exam tomorrow. Wish me luck guys.... i want to be optimistic but i am so nervous inside. Just going to go over everything and trust the process. Update: I passed :) !!!!!!!!! Binging this series helped visualize everything... guys prof messer practice exam was spot on when it came to what i needed to study . I used his practice exams to help me prepare as well as his course notes windowing along side the comptia objectives while studying to make sure everything was covered. COMPTIA 220-1001 passed thnx for PROFESSOR MESSER
Thank you Professor for all these wonderful videos, they've been a great help and are supplementing my ExamCram book very well. Everyone, hang in there if you are trying to get certified! You can do it; we all can! Haven't taken either A+ exam yet but I did take the ITF+ exam back in July and sadly just missed the passing score by TWO questions! Frustrating, but it prepared me for how CompTIA does its testing. Decided to just move on to A+ as it is the more valuable cert. Don't give up!

I am trying to get into the IT industry and trying my best to study right now . I have taken a long break from any sort of education and was working full time (random jobs) last 8 years. I am 28 years old now. I have finished all the videos of Core 1 and will practice and sit on the Core 1 exam soon. Wish me luck as I really want to change my career and achieve IT skills. Haven't taken either A+ exam yet but I did take the ITF+ exam back in July and sadly just missed the passing score by TWO questions! Frustrating, but it prepared me for how CompTIA does its testing. Decided to just move on to A+ as it is the more valuable cert. Don't give up!

I am trying to get into the IT industry and trying my best to study right now . I have taken a long break from any sort of education and was working full time (random jobs) last 8 years. I am 28 years old now. I have finished all the videos of Core 1 and will practice and sit on the Core 1 exam soon. Wish me luck as I really want to change my career and achieve IT skills. Just completed my core 1 exam with a score of 818, thank you and on to core 2.
Having trouble understanding why you would ping the loop back address. What are you trying to establish/rule out by doing that?
Pinging the loopback verifies that the local IP stack is working properly. If it doesn't ping, you may need to reset the stack with "netsh int ip reset."
