I have a 2018 Lenovo T470s with Windows 10 installed. I recently replaced the front battery (or battery 1) and kept getting the "plugged in, not charging" message after using my laptop unplugged for a period of time. Method 2 solved my issue. I knew to have the drivers updated, never occured to me to get rid of them completely then get them reinstalled like that. 30 seconds of clicking solved a couple of weeks of headache. Thank you!

idk how but sometimes when I plug my laptop it charges but most of the time its just not charging at all and dosent even show the not charging it just has 0% and a plugged battery icon

From 0 to 60 % charge it work fine but after that for more charging i have to plugged in and out my charger continually...

If uninstalling those 2 things are not working...disable them and unplug your charger....leave the laptop on for about 5-10 mins....then plug your charger and enable them again. I hope this works for you guys cus it worked for me first try.

Thank You, been watching many vids and trying most of the "tips" on it not charging to 100%. I was about to drain, reopen the laptop and remove the battery. I used the restart windows explorer tip and now I got the green light on the laptop. it went from 94% to 96%.

One solution for this is, you have to unplug your adapter and click on the battery icon in the taskbar and drag it to "BEST PERFORMANCE,BETTER BATERRY OR BATTERY SAVER. BETTER PERFORMANCE CONSUME TOO MUCH ENERGY. Which is why the charging time takes too long.

I tried all and none of this worked 😭 My dad took my laptop's charger to the shop and it turned out that the cord of the charger (the one with fuse) had burned internally. The technician sold us a new cord and now my laptop is charging again.

Does battery should have scotch tape if this is the original one? Mine has scotch tape and not charging anymore. We sent it to service center and leave for about 2 hours just to fix the hinges. When we open the laptop it became dependent on the charger and when i looked at the battery no movement and stopped at 25%. When i take out the charger, the laptop just take off. Does it have really battery problem? I don't know if the service center replaced it with the dead battery to be able to became dependent on the charger. My laptop is an acer. It was charging when the last time I plug then suddenly it stops and no longer charging even I plug it property. I tried all those methods except 2 and 7 but nothing works. This didn't help my problem bc instead of saying plugged in my laptop says power mode (battery) when I plug it in it doesn't change and ik its plugged in bc it has this light on the side and it was glowing white so it was plugged in just didn't register or charge. can you fix that too??

Hi, please help🙂. I got a replacement battery for lenovo laptop. When I am in the shop the battery is working fine. However, when I open it at home and plug the charger. It shows charging then after how many seconds "plugged in:not charging". So i replaced the battery again today and i think they troubleshoot it. But then again, when I got home, same issue occurred. I thought the system is reset everytime it was shut down.
