For anyone wondering, this is basically a 2 fold scheme that's legal. You have a company where your profits are paid into. You pay yourself a small amount which is taxed at a regular rate. You company holds onto the rest of the money which will do things like buy up properties and suffer "losses" which will give you tax breaks greatly reducing the taxes that you owe. If you do not have a lot of money (meaning if you cannot buy properties or some other type of physical value that is taxed and can have losses) this type of set up is not useful to you.

    • @Delimon007

It's in another company essentially that is only paying out 8-9% of that to you. The rest of that goes towards buying properties and the like which would count towards losses to give you tax breaks. This is essentially rich people stuff and how they get away with paying less taxes. For the average person this information is moot.

Charitable Remainder Trust is a tax sheltering vehicle that needs to be drafted by a competent attorney and CPA. The Charity is going to to GET the REMAINDER of the trust thus tax write off. The money insurance policy or annuity that the TRUST purchases on the individual benefits the individual and the heirs. Very complicated. There are other TH-cam videos out there that go in depth about them. They do cost $$$ so it’s not something for us in washed heathens.
