“10w-30 weight”... 10 is the oil index temp for cold or “winter” and 30 is the index number for hot temps... many people say 10 “weight” 30. However the ‘w’ in 10w-30 stands for winter. Just a fun little tidbit 👍
If you lean the generator and fill with oil, when you set it back level it will be leaking out because its decieving the level if you lesn it like thar
I like the built-in meter and LED bar graph for power output. I could find the gasoline only version easily, but this dual fuel version was out of stock or being sold for over $1000. Champion confirmed it is discontinued. I wonder why?
Are able to test the spectrum of the output? Purely looking at the waveform can not clearly identify how clean it is. Ofcourse, better than the 8usd inverter.
I don't have any equipment to evaluate the power spectrum. I'm not an EE, so i recognize my skillet in this domain is probably a bit lacking. Do you have any recommendations for equipment that can do this? Hopefully with a price tag that won't break the bank?
@@harrisonhobbies241, I’m not calling you out. I was wondering if I misunderstood something. I appreciate your willingness to test as you did. You are the only TH-camr so far that has gone to that extent. That current-splitter is a great idea that I will definitely buy, thanks to you! Also that little oscilloscope is something I will look into. Keep up the good work. I wish you much success.
The one here is similar to this, but this model is slightly newer: www.amazon.com/dp/B074QBQNB7. Check around Amazon and find any that look similar for a lower price though since these are cranked out in some random factory and there are around 20 distributors that silkscreen their logos onto them. However one of the plugs for a cable broke on that one (since it uses a mini-adapter), so i bought this one instead... and it seems to be a bit higher quality. Again, these are cranked out and get a dozen different brands... so choose the cheapest option you can. www.amazon.com/dp/B088ZXJSD6
Hello! I'm not sure if there are any kits that exist. I did a cursory search out of curiosity, but nothing came up for this model specifically. The high pressure regulator is external, and the quick-connect coupling is connected directly to the carburetor. So it looks like you may only need the low pressure NG regulator and some connectors to make it work. You should certainly double check what i've said though since i don't want to lead you astray.
On my Hutch Mountain tri fuel kit for my 2200 watt Honda set on propane. To go to natural gas. I change jet at the plastic - polymer base by air filter I wouldn't want to do this alot, risk of breaking or cracking plastic - polymer base by carberator. Jet is inside fuel hose. Not sure if you have to adjust the kn one way valve or not I would have to look at instructional manual to be for sure. Also have the right connection at the natural gas hook up. Never know in a state of emergency they feel or worse they can shut off every thing natural gas too. Sadly they do whateber they want. Natural gas endless supply of fuel.
INVERTOR GENERATORS WEAK LINK! So many people are concerned about clean inverter power from generators. I still run my old indestructible and proven 1850 Coleman Powermate pulse (Non Inveertor) generator for 25+ years computer, cell phones, tvs, drill, saw, battery charger and more for years. I through have maintainced it. Never burned up anything with the 1850 unless I intentionally over reved throttled it experimenting. I already burned up another New Invertor Chinese 80cc dual fuel generator after only 6 months living off grid running on propane. Reason I bought dual fuel 80cc invertor generator: little quieter, dual fuel, more fuel efficient, less weight, more power. I thought it would last 25+ years like my old 1850 generator was I wrong and ticked!!! Burned up the cheap and weak invertor board that happens from overloading the generator. It don't blow resetable breakers once and a while like my indestructible 1850 generator does or rattle the valves when over loaded. These echo idle invertor generators burn up stop making power from user not knowing being overloading.ostly these invertor generators are weak. A person I know burned his generator invertor board up too. That is the real problem. Engine runs no power (yellow over load light comes on) a weak link in the so called cheap sine wave invertor echo idle generators overall not dependable that's why. I bought a Honda 2200 and the others mostly dual fuel I have for backup.
Your not supposed to turn thd dial off before shutting the propane. Your supposed to turn propane valve off and let the engine choke off and then you turn the dial to off while storing
Hello, We are the agent of Champion Power Equipment in Taiwan. I would like to ask if I can use your video for commercial use. At that time, we will attach a link to the original film at the bottom of the information column. Here is our official TH-cam link th-cam.com/users/MoniconInstrument looking forward to your reply.

Did the generator LPG regulator come with that black attachment hose clip?
Yep - that was included with the unit.

Isn’t a heater or lighting a resistive load?
A refrigerator motor or A/C unit an inductive load?
Correct... and I'm guessing you're calling this out because I misspoke in the video, huh?

Does this have a propane primer valve like the 900 watt Baja? This is a great feature!
Nope... no primer like the Baja. However, I haven't had any issue starting it without that feature; sometimes it just takes a few extra pulls.
What is the model number of your oscilloscope? I’ve been looking for one to actually test all my generators also.
Thanks
