Egg shells give your bowl an extra 'scrub' rather than using a scourer or harsh brush :) You still need to wash with soapy water afterwards, but it should be super clean and shiny when finished. Great for after you have made a dough type item. The lemon wash is great to do prior to cooking a pavlova or similar.
You should notify people to take apart the spatula when cleaning, if you don’t an incredible amount of potentially dangerous crud accumulates. Yet another design problem with this machine.

Hi, when somebody else has problems with getting out the knife, my favorite tip is the "TopfTwister" made in Germany. Now cleaning is very easy!!
