This was ripped off the Heavy Mental Instrumental LP (Geffen Records). This is the way this instrumental sounds. You can hear Killah Priest verses slightly through out the instrumental. I didn't make this instrumental myself.
Y-Kim the Illfigure produced this track. In my opinion RZA gets too much credit as 'thee' Wu-Tang producer. I take my hat off 2 him & give him his due but the 'underdogs' such as 4th Disciple, Mathematics, True Master, & etc. have also put their work in & probably has worked harder than RZA & still goes unnoticed. 4th Disciple alone has produced 'whole' Wu albums outside of the main 9 rappers & the group Wu-Tang. Check out his catalog on Wikipedia.
Well said. Y-Kim has nothing but bangers in his catalogue. This particular beat caused a fiasco of sorts with the Wu back in the day. A lot of the Wu wanted this beat on a clan album - but the Ill Figure wanted to keep it for Timbo (Royal Fam). Ghostface and few others jumped Y-Kim because of this. I'm not sure how it ended up on Priest's joint - great fit though!
@@narindergill2621 *_”Jumped him” in the sense of beating him up? Man, the Wu love has broken down over the years. I can’t count on one hand how many times RZA has been sued by Wu & Wu-affiliate artists/producers._*
I bought this classic album on CD 25 years ago. I still have it.
