Not only is this the best tune from the Classic series, it's the best series of stages in the Classic series, and Dark Man 1-4 are some of the best fortress bosses in the Classic series. Just more reasons this game will always remain my favorite Classic title.

This reminds me a lot of the music from Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. Listen to "Sinking Old Sanctuary" from the CotM OST. You'll get the same vibe/style.
True that. Half the time, the Charge Kick doesn't damage enemies at all. I use it to go faster. If you want a good dashing weapon, play Megaman Unlimited and get the Comet Dash. That fucker is useful.
In that case, a lot of MM5's robot masters would suck too since their weapons aren't all that great either. Power Stone? Which in my opinion is even worse than Charge Kick. At least Charge Kick has its place in speedruns, you can barely even kill Charge Man with this thing (not that he's all that tough to begin with). Crystal Eye? Star Crash? Napalm Bomb Wave Man's weapon (forgot what it's called) Mega Man 5's weapons in general leave to be desired outside of Gyro Attack and Gravity Hold, and especially since they buffed the mega buster/chrage shot and made the game's overall difficulty easier than usual, there's even less need for the special weapons now. I'm personally inclined to say MM5 competes with only MM3 for the worst special weapons in any of the classic series. Could just be my experience tho.
