For some reason, i always thought MM5 had the best soundtrack. It's probably because of Wily Stages, but i just thought there was the amazing Gravity Man, the very unique albeit slightly forgettable Crystal Man, the great Gyro Man, the awesome Charge Man, the classic Wave Man, the great Napalm Man, the okay Star Man and the... uh... pretty forgettable Stone Man, and the AMAZING CLASSIC of Protoman's Castle. And Wily Stages is still my #1 Megaman track of all time.

It would have been way better if you actually fought Protoman and only discovered that it was a faker after it fainted. That would have been extremely emotional and trollish at the same time.
AdriansIdeas If Megaman 5 was made like five years ago instead of 23, this WOULD have happened. But at that time they didn't give that much consideration to plot-twists. They thought a bare plot is all that they needed. That's different now. *cough* Shovel Knight *cough*
DarkMan theme stays AMAAAAZIIING! :). It seriously shows why Megaman 8 sucked so much. I just couldn't get into the game with that bad music. It lacked that Megaman Punch ;).

Capcom hasn't made any Robot Masters of their own since MM1. The names and designs for the Robot Masters from 2 thru 6 were all fan-made submissions.

Just because the music was different doesn't mean it's bad. It's just not to your taste, but it has its own groove.
