Community supports iconic east Austin barbecue joint

Just last week, the owner of Sam's BBQ, Brian Mays, was offered a hefty sum to sell his place. Mays says someone offered him $3.5 million, but he decided to turn it down.

I used to eat there back in 1989 when I was station at Fort Hood. I really enjoyed the brisket and sausage.
