dude! thanks so much for this. I run 514 BMX, Montreal's only BMX shop, and I had no clue how to really get one of these running, which i had to do for a client just now... I assumed the set screws on the "clutch" had to be tightened all the way down, and you seem to be the only dude mentioning that they had to be not so tight.. thanks again man, keep the vids coming!
Hi Guy. What an awesome thing to make for everyone. I got the curse of the blind hub on my off the shelf- We The People Envy - It worked in Sydney for a weekend (the rear fire ball tyre was faulty- So I had to talk to the importers from Auckland but bought new tyres in the minute to see what else panned out. So when I got round to talking to the importer I mentioned the incredable amount of play before the power hits the wheel, - To be fair they did replace the tyre but it was with a gay version in a bad colorway for the new season so I still have the unused tyres hanging around to remind me to email éclat, lol. also the grips that came with it were not even the shane wesson ones that rule, they were slippery as all hell in Syd. As a mountain biker I hate this hub with a passion. Ive had six stories of what to do with this curse, including replacing the spring with a rubber band and I've hurt myself at least 3 times getting the hang of it. That aussi importer did not even throw in a t-shirt for my troubles as I had to get it done at a shop to not void the" warrantee " etc, blah blah blah. Its not like good hubs that do not need rebuilding (mountain bike ones- It gets all the crap in it and wants rebuilding twice a year pretty much- gawd knows how long they will make replacement parts for it and anyhow........ Thanks so much as- I'm stuck with it as I try to keep it off the shelf spec for resale reasons. Now I can fix it up and kick it to the kerb when I see what I really want. Thanks again, Thanks a bunch, Thanks sumore, Good on you!
damn i wish i wouldve bought my friends blind hub after seeing this. he had the same problem and we thought that the internals were just shit. But now after seeing this i regret not buying it
Instead of tightening the cone nut as hard as possible putting a lot of stress on the plastic bushing, I feel like the grub screws on thr clutch would be the only requirement to having clutch resistance.
There is no stress on the driver bushing what so ever because the driver rests on two steal bores in side the driver witch allows the driver to have the play that is needed to spin... so when you tighten the drive side cone nut dude it pushes the two steal bores down to the clutch disk .. not the driver bushing ... if the steal bores weren't there and the driver didn't have play ... the driver will not spin.
how much slack it has? it has different possitions of slack or just one? if it has possitions which and how much slack it has? thanks and gooood video!
I burnt through a We The People Helix aswell, rolling the Odessey Clutch now, designed by George French of G-Sport fame so you know its the shit! Was temped by the Profile Zcoaster but meh teeth are too easily damaged/collide.
Gsport George makes bad stuff to dude just saying... Broke the keychain like way to many times the chain ended up become a $200 chain with all the replacement link lol, 4 Aero Spaces rim, the new Grand Stand pedals and I know way to many people who broke the Clutch already because the wedges in side can take the force... and then again the Pc guard breaks in a few days ... All designed be George ...... I might just get a Federal or Primo when my hub dies..
Sorry it took me so long to reply dude but I had to look for the .pdf file for the blind hub as I no longer own it my self .. Eclat says they are M2 Grub screws but I used a 2.5 allen when I had the hub... so ether the M2 or the M2.5 grub screws ... order the M2 first just to be on the safe side. You also need to find out how long you need the grub screw ... Cut the end of a q-tip and stick that in one of the holes in the clucth disk where the grub screw would be and mark it the just see how many .mm it is and order of say ebay.. it will be like M2x what ever your got for .mm
+Proph Aesthetic Yeah I lace my own wheels. If you have a shop or even just buy a wheel that's already laced from the factory you will still have to tighten and true the wheel .SO.... might as well just do it your self and only do it once lol
+ThePr0F1le yeah I was thinking about buying a verde theory but idk... I don't want to build a custom because I don't wanna spend a fortune. any good ready to ride bike suggestions?
Well when it comes to bikes dude you get what you pay for really... but if it rolls ride it lol... but.... if you really want a really good bike that will last for ages and you have 1k to spend get the Sunday Soundwave complete ..it's all up to you really
Ernesto Ramirez any free coaster that you can get replacement parts for ... so most khe types... but I ride the promo free coaster now and that shits dope af ...
No, I almost died a couple times. I want to be treated like a car but not follow any of the rules! It's my entitlement as a road biker! *heavy sarcasm*

HAHAHA To cool dude ... and FYI Eclat/Radio bikes will not email back ...
Where can you find a good replacement for the spacer that holds the pawls together? Will a rubber band really work?
If the spring breaks dude you can uses the rubber bands that are used for braces or a super thin key ring.
Great video! This is exactly what I needed...
Thanks for the video, helped out a lot!!!
damn i wish i wouldve bought my friends blind hub after seeing this. he had the same problem and we thought that the internals were just shit. But now after seeing this i regret not buying it
The eclat blind hub is a good hub but not the best .. I gave mine away to a good friend in Germany and he's still riding it like it was new ..
You're very handy! Nice =D
+Anita Star Um.... Thank you :) hahahha

In that case, I retract my statement.
