To clear up some confusion: I reached out to a lot of different people while making this video. One of these people was Ray Mona, we talked for a bit back in October. I've seen some people accuse me of never reaching out to her, that's not true.
Edit 2/16/2024 12:58 PM EST: I've been seeing people asking for proof for this. Here it is.

Then why didn't you include such a pivotal detail in the video? The lack of a mention of Raven at every moment of the video when you stressed you spoke to Alax and Scott seems to indicate that you DIDN'T talk to her. You deliberately left this piece of information out because you knew you would receive backlash and hoped no one would notice.
I'll believe you when I see the receipts - and even so, those could very well not be true. I'd need actual confirmation from Raven herself to believe you - which I won't do, as I actually care about her feelings and wouldn't want to unearth her trauma from nearly five years ago (much less through making a video milking off of it, besides lowkey siding with her abuser).
Your content is gross and you should just own up to it like myriads of other shameless and dishonest drama channels.

I'm not necessarily trying to accuse you of being a shameless drama farm - I really do think there was a lot of great research and commentary in this video and it was mostly handled with tact and respect where it was due - but the complete absence of any real coverage of your correspondence with Ray, other than vague comments saying "trust me guys it happened" with no further elaboration, is... fishy in some sort of way.
It seems like you are deliberately dancing around any real disclosure of what was exchanged between you and Ray, and that's blatantly inconsistent with how you treated the communications you had with everyone else, which are put up on full display and narrated line-by-line.
I'm sure there is a reason, and I don't have enough info to make any assumptions about what that reason might be, but it is something people are noticing.

    • @20000dino
      @20000dino 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

He didn't, though? I already left another comment saying this, but I might as well say it here again.
To introduce yourself as this pacifist neutral party, claiming this video exists to merely "document and summarize a story involving serious allegations of a major content creator" - only to exclusively contact the alleged abuser and Scott whilst leaving Raven, the ACTUAL alleged victim in question, out of the conversation... it's not just profoundly disingenuous, it's disgusting.
In fact, besides mostly focusing on Alax's side of the situation, he straight up ignored one of the BIGGEST items of the case - Raven's multiple page document laying out EVERYTHING from her perspective.
I understand why it wouldn't be best to take a side when attempting to gather all evidence for such a complex case - but if this person was actually interested in doing so, he would have AT LEAST done the bare minimum and presented all the evidence from both sides. Instead, he wanted to gain leverage against other people who might've attempted to do so by acquiring new "evidence". He knew Raven would never be in favor of this, so he instead exclusively relied on the other side and a neutral party, even despite the latter warning him against this twice. He carelessly reopened a wound which had been left untouched for a while, walking all over the victim and, once again, propelling the voice of the abuser.
He says he's not "super confident in taking a stance on who is innocent and who is guilty". I say he's a coward and a wolf in sheep's clothing. He could've made his thoughts clear (at least then I could've known he was an as*hole and clicked off right away) - but instead, his biases were ironically denounced by his own lack of commitment to this pacifist front he so attempted to present. It would be funny if it wasn't so gross.

It’s been years since I loved to watch RelaxAlax, so when the allegations began I sort of shriveled up and ignored everything. I sort of knew that there was a conflict in understanding between Alex and Ray, but I didn’t know of anything conclusively. I still didn’t watch his videos after that, but there were other reasons on top of the uncertainty of the controversy. It’s good to finally see a bit more of the truth of what happened and the sides that portray it. But the part I didn’t expect was Scott…
I think removing Alex from Borderline Forever was a good business choice. Morally, that’s up in the air, though I’d say that Scott was in a tough position regardless. After reading how Alex still thought of Scott as a friend though, a piece of my humanity felt a tiny tear within it.
Hearing Scott’s lengthy and well thought out response for this video was one of the most crushing things I think I’ve ever read. Just imagining someone hear the echoes of their friend’s words demonstratively and conclusively denying their friendship- I don’t think I’ve ever felt a bond’s severance that severe before. It was a bit soul crushing for me just imagining someone else finding this out through a video from a third party- that hurts so bad that I felt it from here.
I am not condemning anyone as a liar, nor am I saying I believe of someone else’s innocence. I can only say that through the shared experience of humanity, I felt something through Scott’s words, and it led me to shed a few tears over broken bonds and unmendable relationships. And if it hurts me, someone who is even far removed from being considered a third party, I can only imagine the pain that besets those actually involved.

i hate this trend of taking serious topics to the internet as "drama" instead of dealing with it offline and taking legal action. it sucks how easily people believe these kinds of accusations too. @lambsauce5312 of course bro, all parties are innocent until proven guilty, and i always listen to both sides before coming to any conclusions or jumping the gun, which is something that people normally don't do. I'm not accusing the "supposed" victim of anything horrible, not saying theyre for sure liars 100% of the time, i just don't fully buy what they're saying, especially when they provide no proof, and instead wait for the other party's response. What happens is that anyone can come forward with allegations of any kind against anyone and be 100% supported and believed as if this was the certain truth, before the other side even responds to the allegations against them, and people instead resort to attacking the accused party almost immediately upon hearing about the accusations. This is serious shit, false accusations ruin lives. and frankly, watching people flip and change between sides is exhausting. "Believe all victims no matter what regardless if they provide any substantial proof" is harmful, we should Give all parties the benefit of the doubt and wait for solid proof before coming to any conclusions

This is my big takeaway from all of this.
Ray: She wasn't raped at all. She just threw a tantrum and blackmailed Alex just for a dumb painting that doesn't belong to her anymore. Every single screenshot Alex shares clearly shows that she is not traumatized or affected at all. She's being manipulative and hostile and just wants to threat Alex and his reputation if he doesn't do what she demands. Also, someone who was sexually abused and was psychologically affected would NEVER hold their ex so dearly during their breakup. She truly seems affected by them breaking up, she even says she'll have a hard time getting over him or not thinking about him while being with someone else. She was incredibly lovey dovey about it, and her dialogue is so clear and sincere it's hard to believe he's some sort of gaslit victim. Also, notice how instead of giving Alex some decent counterarguments after his video, her only response was to mock his "fake lawsuit" and that's it.
Alex: A narcissistic, manipulative douche who has little to no grasp on what a co-operative relationship is. He barely tolerated his ex's bad behaviour (to a degree, understandably so), but to the point he starts talking shit about her to his friends. Or even worse, making her feel inferior. Is that worth cancelling someone for? nah, not really. Dude needs therapy, or maybe he's not built for relationships. He should just stick to comedy.
Scott: He 100% believes Alex. I'm not buying his response. He's afraid of bad PR and sadly, this is not a matter of him "growing up and learning" but rather getting good lawyers who told him to always publicly state that he believes in the victim, no matter the odds. That sadly makes him a bit of a shitty friend, but that's show business. He did the "professional" thing to do.
Bottom line: of course the allegations were forgotten. There's nothing to cover here. This was a stupid, childish couple's fight that Ray decided to make public for a stupid painting. That's also probably the reason why this video doesn't have that many views. The investigations are decent... but it really snowballs into nothing.

Let me preface this by saying I think you're bringing up some very good points, and I generally agree that this was not really drama-worthy and should've been handled in private. But here are some things I'd like to point out:
      1. It's not safe to assume the emotions and the mental state of involved parties when you weren't there. You mentioned Ray was clearly "not traumatized or affected at all" and "incredibly lovey dovey about" the relationship, but it is dangerous to assume that, since you are not her. I get where you're coming from, but we don't know what and how other people feel, so we have to be careful not to speculate too much based on their words alone.
      2. Consent when drunk is not consent, that much is true. So by definition it was rape. Alex was irresponsible for not respecting the boundaries even if they were dating, and blaming Ray for being mad over it is not rational imo.
      3. No matter how Ray responded, Alex would've had the high ground anyways because of his huge following online. The way Ray handled the situation was not ideal, but it shouldn't be held against her, at least not that much. Both Alex and Ray dealt this drama extremely poorly, but that doesn't really affect what actually transpired.
To reiterate, I agree Ray should not have made this public. But to say the reason this drama went out of control is because of Ray's choice to make this public, is kinda undermining the fact that she was indeed forced into intercourse without proper consent, and that Alex was legitimately being a manipulative partner, just like you pointed out as well. We all make mistakes, especially when we're angry and/or sad... So although I completely agree this could've been handled better in private, I just wanted to point these out to prevent the victim-blaming narrative (not that you were deliberately victim-blaming, but moreso that some of your points might lead to it), and that might be dangerous for similar but more serious situations in the future.

But yeah, you have a point. And drunk sex is such a grey area. But it still doesn't change the fact it was a rape-y situation and Ray was in the right to be angry. It also doesn't change the fact she didn't need to make it public.

thanks for covering this, i had no idea any of this happened and i'm a fan of alax's videos. it's definitely complicated and we'll never know the truth, but from an outsider's perspective it looks like Ray had some pretty toxic behaviours in the relationship probably due to abandonment issues. (ie. constantly accusing partner of being unfaithful, although as a gay person, seems like alot of straight couples deal with this shit lmao) but i do believe her when she said she didn't remember the sex and cried the next morning when she realized she didn't remember anything. that shit is scary. I'm not an SA survivor so I hope i dont say anything out of line, but I believe when it comes to alcohol consumption and being partners and all that the waters get a bit murky. couples have drunk sex all the time, I think it's up to the individuals whether they feel like they consented or not. Alax's statement doesn't sit right with me because instead of aknowledging her feelings about the situation he basically just comes at it from the assumption that she's just lying and only exposing him to get her painting back. That very well could be true but I think the safer option is to just apologize. being blackout can be fuckin scary man just say sorry. Also when he goes over the sequence of events of the incident, he leaves out the part where she said Alax told her of the sexual acts they did and Ray got emotional saying she blacked out. Which makes me a bit suspicious that he's trying to avoid any accountability. hopefully this all made sense, I see more people in the comments bashing Ray and I do think she deserves criticism but I also think Alax's response was in bad faith and he should've at least taken SOME accountability. not calling Alax a r*pist btw it's not that simple.
TLDR Alax is probably not a r*pist but should have taken more accountability, Ray was a toxic partner but also a human being who (maybe) deserved a lil more empathy from her former partner. I think both parties need to do a lil more self reflection. i mean it's been like 5 years so i'll assume they have :P

Scott's response kind of rubs me the wrong way ngl, He says that he doesn't know if Alex is guilty or not, Yet still treats him like he is.
It's one thing to recognize that he jumped the gun by defending him before any of the evidence was officially revealed, But it's another to immediately switch viewpoints because "Statistically most people don't lie". Where were you during the Slazo situation, Scott?
As for my take,, It just seems like Alex and Ray had an unstable relationship. Between the two I'm willing to side with Alex more but both testimonies have holes in them, And I don't think we'll ever get a conclusive answer as to what really happened.

That's a shame the lawsuit never happened, because I still think that's the only way this could've actually been resolved. Even with all of the new info in this video i didn't know, I still don't think it's easy to to decide which side is in the right here. I remember seeing a 3rd party on each side basically bully the opposition publicly when this was a hot topic, which made both sides look very bad. I remember the one defending Ray in particular writing an insane twitlonger with unverified info and it spread around Twitter quickly that day. But the one defending Alax took everything like a personal attack, as if he was a family member or something (I think it's probably the guy you mention in the video?)

This has nothing to do with the video itself, but I find it incredibly frustrating that you refuse to elaborate about Ray’s involvement in this video. You say you spoke with her, you have shown proof that you did.
Okay, but then why are there zero details about what she actually said. Even if she didn’t want to be involved or have a statement in the video, you should absolutely have been able to share whether or not she was comfortable with this video being made.
Because that’s the point, reaching out to Ray is not just a box to check. The entire reason to reach out to her is to see if she’s okay with it, and if you can’t obtain that consent then I don’t see how you have any right to make this video. It’s not binary, it’s not just about reaching out. It’s about how she actually felt about this video’s creation.
You responding under every comment asking about this with a single sentence response “I reached out to her” is so obviously suspicious. If you could have elaborated in a way that showcased her giving permission for this video, then you would have. Instead you use the fact that you spoke with her alone as justification for shutting up anyone who is asking about what that conversation actually entailed.

if you're a victim and you post your story, you absolutely have to be as transparent as possible because the internet has many frauds everywhere and the more legally usable evidence you give the more people will be convinced, being purposefully vague and CHANGING your narrative only makes YOU the villain

I don't agree with STW's response, but I do see where he is coming from, and you just don't get it. You see, let's examplify: imagine you make a video and on that video, you feature two people that are in bad terms. You, of course, had no idea until much later. Then, upon researching about it, you find that the girl is accusing the other guy of SA (sure, without proof). What would you do? Sure you'll say innocent until proven guilty, right?? But there's a catch.. It's a 50/50 situation. She is accusing another of SA with no proof. In a stance like this, the guy could either be innocent or guilty, and, of course, if the latter were to be true, how would that girl feel? Like Scott said, it'd be a slap to the face to her (to the girl in this hypothetical scenario). I think what he did was indeed quite mature, he just did what was right to him at the time and space in which it occured. He did say he does NOT know whether Alax is guilty or not, but if the former were to turn out to be true, then it wouldn't be right to have him featured on a video where his ex also appears, so he deleted his (Alax's) scene upon that possibility. This isn't the same as Game Grumps or Jirard who'd be the first ones to call you out on accusations and delete your contributions just to save their skin from the fire (as they have done in the past with Jontron and ProJared respectively). While I don't agree with Scott, I see where he is coming from and it's genuine.

You wouldn't take to the internet and make a big public deal about it, especially if it was something as serious and personal as SA. To me it reads as, something shitty happened, but both were to blame to some degree, which is why this is being dealt with publicly online instead of privately in court. So to my brain it makes sense that she must have some liability in this situation, enough to where she wouldnt be able to win the case in court.

Which would be the answer if it was that easy. Usually if there is little to no tangible proof or witnesses, even if the crime undeniably happened, nothing will be done about it. That's why victims often don't speak up - especially those of oppressed groups which are typically delegitimized, such as women, people of color, queer and trans people.
I swear I've been seeing these same platitudes being spewed for years. You're all aware you could just read the news, right? The numbers are out there. Then after leaving prison after 10 or more years you won't have a respectable career to return to. Your record affect where you work, where you live, who you date, where your kids can go to school.

I assume the break up was terrible and both ended up hating each other's guts in the aftermath.
Mona's timing in my opinion is sus, taking advantage of the Jared and Heidi/sexting to minors scandal to accuse her ex-boyfriend of assault for critical reputation damage. However, Alax's response was bad on many levels, both diplomatically and legally, like revealing personal stuff and threatening legal action in both response videos even if he had receipts showing that Mona exagerated her claims, thus explaining why he ended up removing them.
However, I tend to distrust people that constantly use progressive language when accusing people of things like SA and R@p3, because you have to be emotionally coherent to maintain that level of "think of others' mental health and traumas" mentality when one is dealing with personal problems or traumatic events.
In his first video, Alax was rather emotional but tried to keep it in when discussing the allegations. In his second video, he was more tired and weary and just wanted to move on.
Mona says Alax is a sociopatic monster, and Alax says Mona is a vindictive and manipulative woman.
What happened? My uninformed guess is that something happened between the two which progressives may consider SA, while most conservative and moderate people may consider simply bad or crass behavior towards a woman, and Mona used this event to get revenge on Alax due to how Alax treated her when they were together (plus the alleged harrasment from Alax's fans).

EDIT: Honestly, I came back to this later, and this is a great video.
