Watch as Lisa Bright (ex-McKinsey) takes an actual case prompt and structures her approach on paper, then communicates it back to the interviewer. This is very similar to what would be expected in a real case interview.
If you're looking to break into a consulting firm like McKinsey (or Bain or BCG), you have to be prepared for the case interview.

May I know if this is a MBB (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) associate-level type of interviews? Or a tier 2 consulting firms type of interviews?

this is a great case but i feel the answer could be structured further:
market attractiveness and profitability could have been external factors. the firm would have little control over these, the insights from them would then have to be in seen in light of the firm's own capabilities, which would be the next main branch. this would include existing capabilities, whether there is a need to invest more in expanding production or is the firm looking to replace existing production, the price points and demographic / customer type the company would like to target (again, existing vs new). then, the go-to-market strategy would also depend of the 1st branch, if customers are very brand loyal, you would have to offer something really differentiated and based on a needs assessment

Honestly, I think she can use her writing in any interviews like this. Nothing specific about the case at all.

Question on the MECE aspect of the structure. I personally loved the way the market analysis was tied to the volume of cars sold and how company capabilities will impact costs. However, now that the different top-level buckets are inter-connected, does this imply that the structure is NOT MECE? I was under the impression that top-level buckets shouldn't overlap.

What type of pauses should we make when presenting? Presenters talked fast with very little pauses. Is it ok that we stare at our notes most of the time when presenting as if talking to the paper like she did?

Great video! However, it's difficult to read Lisa's notes. Are you going to upload it on your page?

So it was 'creative' because she changed the name and the order of the buckets of a standard framework ? We don't seem to have the same definition of 'creativity'. Let's call it 'customization', it would be more adequate.

Most consulting firms have an "up or out" structure. So if you don't continue with the firm, you exit into the private sector, your own startup, or other opportunities. It's pretty typical for consultants to exit after 2-3 years of gaining experience and top-notch training. This also lends to why firms recruit so heavily.
