That's a nice stitch, less dense than ordinary garter stitch and more interesting; thank you. I read the book about the Andes crash when it cam out - absolutely gripping, and oddly enough, not horrific, just awfully sad, somehow.
I love textured stitches like this one, it gives a bit of bouncy cushioning, they're so good for using a baby floor blankets, they give baby enough insulation and cushioning without hindering baby's movement too much! Perfect for when they're learning to roll over or sit upright!
