    20 years ago I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my knee and wrist, and tore all the ligaments and tendons in my foot. I move back to Canada the week after, and for the past 20 years I have limped and suffered with pain as the medical care here is very poor. The past 6 months my foot almost stopped working…I couldn’t weight bear the pain was so intense. I discovered comfrey, and have made some salve which as not only helped me, but my 88 year old mother who could barely use her right arm after a shoulder injury 3 years ago is happy and the pain has lessened so dramatically in the last 4 days she is a new person! Wow! I am so impressed.

      Hi! This is late, but if you are still suffering with stiffness in your foot- try infusing elder leaf into olive oil and using that on it. It is a wonder for returning mobility after injury!

    In 2013 the trunk lid of my husband's car came down and hit me in the forehead. Yes I understand wanting to throw up from the pain. I did go to ER. I had a concussion. Wish I had known about comfrey back then. Feel better soon!

    Last Summer I dropped a stepstone on my bare toe. I was sure it was crushed. Hurt really bad. I wrapped it in a comfrey leaf and took a nap. 2 hours later I woke up to hardly any pain. Then the next day my church prayed for healing. By the end of the service no more pain or restriction on movement. God is Good.

    Oh no, Dawn! I did something similar walking down the driveway to get the mail in the dark. Ended up breaking 3 ribs...
    I'm so glad to know about these natural remedies. Thank you!
    Hope you get to feeling better very soon!

      Oh my! I got off easy compared to you. Thank you for watching... I'm just realizing I have a comments folder out here on TH-cam... I'm horribly behind in understanding all these platforms- sorry I didn't respond for so long- I've got it now!

    Hello, I just found your channel by looking for a DIY insect trap (for crawling insects in my case) and found your old video "Making a Homemade Non-Toxic Whitefly Trap". Thank you for the video! As the corn syrup is not a regular household good here where I live but it still is available in shops, I'll get a bottle in next week. My question would be how long will the trap stay sticky? I guess it'll dry up in few days, right?

      That's a great question! I haven't made one in a while... and didn't see your question for an embarrassing lag of time... Perhaps I'll make some for our greenhouse this spring and test out how long they stay sticky. If I remember rightly from the last time I made them, they stayed tacky for quite a while...

    My daughter's jaw "goes out" and gets painful when she eats and then she has to stop eating. I dont know yet if it is too big, in a bad location, or what but do you think a comfrey salve could help that pain or the bone? I'm thinking about making one but not sure if the ground powder or an oil infusion would be best strength, plus I dont want to stain her face.

      Hmm... I'm not sure I love it in that situation. Matthew Wood talks about comfrey causing "calluses" on bone. I like it for bruising and for healing broken bones, but here I think I would reach for boneset for deep bone pain. I would infuse in an oil if I were you and apply topically. BUT I think the first recommendation that comes to mind is to look into a good chiropractor. Sounds like a misalignment to me (often starting in the hips). Look for someone who is also trained in cranial sacral that could adjust the plates in the head and face. I have had personal experience with these things being out of whack and causing jaw pain, misalignment, clicking, etc. Good luck!!

    Would this be good for back pain from fractures in vertebrae

    • @SodaFarm

      Yes, it could definitely be a good thing to try. But you may also take a look at St. John's Wort oil. It has a long reputation of being helpful wherever nerve endings have been injured. It's great to relieve pain and inflammation in those areas. I would most likely try both and work to increase bone building nutrition.

    Hmm would it be ok to take a whole body bath in this ?

    • @SodaFarm
      @SodaFarm  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      absolutely! Either with comfrey on its own.. or for skin issues, I like to combine it with calendula. Put them in a sock or hosiery footie if you'd like to prevent the need for cleaning herbs out of your tub after you are done.
