They probably had it plugged into a bad outlet or extension cord. You don't suddenly forget how to turn on a TV you've had for 11 years, but sometimes you forget to check the integrity of your power supply.

I dropped my Xbox One S from 5 feet a while ago by accident on to carpet and the controller sync button and usb on the front don’t work so I have to use a micro usb for my custom controller and usbc for my elite controller in the back and when I touch like a paper clip or metal into the front usb port which is bent it turns my xbox off
That k'ching noise that the first one made when starting up. I recognize that noise. Its the sound of a read head grinding on the platter of a HDD. That drive is toast. Doesn't matter that it, eventually, booted up. Its gonna conk it soon.
No its the metal RF shield (metal grate everyone removed from 360's to do case mods) being pushed back by the fan hence why its so tinny sounding and then stopped. A head failure on a 2.5in 5400rpm laptop drive wont be *that* audible on a mic from 12ft away and it'll be a constant sound while in use. Drive will probably still be toast soon though, They all will. Mechanicals don't handle "velocity changes" well and they're like 5 years now which is when they start rapidly kicking the bucket anyway. But I've only been doing pc (some console) repairs for 20 years, I bow to the internet experts as always.

That was my main question. While the system may still work, they didn't test to see if the disk drive still functioned. That being said, without it they would still function with digital games and probably wouldn't be too hard to replace.
Yeah. Their testing in the video of it is not complete. The test they showed doesnt actually tell you that they all work. It just tells you that they turn on and starts the initial set ups. It doesnt tell you if it would read disks or not. In other words they didnt show if you can still use the machine to play video games. Atleast hard copy of the video game. Meaning disk.
@@rossMDL That's what i would've tought but, if you see the slow mo when the bubble wrap ball impacts the ground, it gets compressed at least 50% Although it might have absorbed most of the impacts, if the xbox was just in the center of the bubble surely took some of that hit

It won't be as explosive as your normal drops but it should make this pretty cool slow mo effect and I want to see if there is a velocity cap on the effect. In curious if there is a speed cap when compared to the size of the magnet and aluminum. I also think it would be wild to watch a massive magnet go from terminal velocity to a dead stop without impact from a 120 ft drop. Assuming that is a great enough distance for the magnet to reach terminal. Should it not work then we get to watch a magnet explode against an aluminum block.
