Hi, from the compass fill it was clear that there was a headwind on the return, why didn't you reduce the altitude as much as the connection allowed? You could have made it if you had been flying low.
@Peakabike the speed was the same but the load of age due to the headwind, the consumed current increased, this is visible on the compass. What percentage of the battery discharge was on the turn? It was necessary to reduce as low as possible, as far as the signal allowed.
@@PeakabikeYes he's correct. He got out 17 km with 58% and he started off with 98% so there was definitely a decent headwind and a drop down to 50 m altitude would have likely saved him. This guy knows exactly what he's doing though he works for fimi and has been doing initial range testing for them since day one.. But everybody makes mistakes. And the compass shows angular trajectory of the drone which changes in a headwind..... Shape the future only missed the mark by 356 m It was actually a pretty fantastic flight But instead of climbing altitude on the return it should have been a descent... Earth curvature doesn't need that much altitude to get out that far... Were you using the extended pro battery? I'm thinking this is your new personal range record? You went approximately 10 miles out and a curvature calculation shows that you needed at least 67 ft of altitude or about 21 m in order to get clearance and good reception at that distance
Hey Dude, nice done! Why didn't you turn to the right to land early on the coast... You were a bit optimistic, but with the wrong wind such experiments go wrong... But it's still impressive how far you can fly with 0% battery life... good luck with the next attempt 😎
I have no idea how your getting these from fimi unless your working for them,i have close to 2.5k subscribers and they won't send me anything to review.
Wow I was just looking at this drone at aliexpress. Very impressive! I think I will buy one.
Hi, good range test video, thanks for sharing. The Fimi now sleeps with the fishes. vbg
Hard luck... but1650 meters with 0% battery, hat's quite a good reserve !
Impresionante 😲 😮 ojala puedas recuperar el equipo y sacar la bateria ya que causa un daño ambiental dejandolo en el fondo del mar
It's my dream to have a drone like that, I wish I could afford to buy one
Like that one? Deep on ocean

Are you sure ? The speed was the same on the way out and back at 13 m/s so that's not indicative of a lot of wind.

@@drone4475 How do you see that on the compass ?

Did you use the stock battery that the drone came with?
We had to climb very high for the signal not to drop and for most of the route the signal was weak.
What battery are you using?
Faltou pouco.
Now we know that 0% means more 1500m 😂
