It's been six years since I first put $1,000 into Fundrise and started watching it grow. Last year, I decided to withdraw my original $1,000 principal and let the reinvested dividends continue growing (or shrinking). This year, I'll show you what has been happening with those remaining dividends, and we can look at the impact of rising interest rates and inflation on this investment over the past year.

I had Fundrise for 4 years and I lost over a thousand dollars. I would never invest with them again. There business plan changed from when I first started when I made about 400 in my first two years. Then after the change I lost about 1100. It is not worth it.
I’m invested 10250 3 years ago now i have 10200 😂 crap
nice hhhh
I invested with Fundrise in 2017 and have over $9000 in returns. it's a great platform but like anything it takes years to avg out the dips. This year has been flat but 2021 was 22% year.. 6-8% every other year. The yearly avg from 2017 to today on Fundrise averaged over all of their offerings is 9.2% (yearly).
How much did you invest?
@@markbernhardt6281 $10500
I started investing in 2018. My yearly average is just over 3%
@marcusarelius why is his 6-8% and yours is 3? Is that the average? When markets bad fundrise isn't rising funds?
@@connorobillyI probably started earlier or I elected a more risky portfolio. There are various risk levels and options for investment in fundrise from a retirement account with less risk to an account made for younger people with more time to average risk. For instance the supplemental income option will hold more risk than a retirement account and in good times it will profit much more.
Are the gains in the fund tax deferred?
I'm going to stick with it for a few years. Wanna see how it performs when the market improves.
I'm in the income funds, there's not much appreciation to speak of but the income is consistent and a nice way to diversify away from the stock market. It feels like I'm getting rent money but I don't have to do anything.
Same. I love it
You must have a lot invested. With 2k I'm only getting pennies
@@MrSour1 what are you invested in?
You posted this five months ago. Since you posted this, I have lost half of the money I earned being invested in Fundrise for three years. I am desperate to get out. My money is dropping to the raid of 20% of my earnings monthly! This is
@@wolfiemcqueen647I'm losing a bit too. As of today, my account value dipped down 12% below my net contributions and I've only started investing in Fundrise about 7 months ago.
Thanks 🙏
Do you pay the extra $10 for the fundraiser pro version ?
I do not.
no it’s free
I do. I like the investments into the innovation fund
@@joelrobert4053no it's not for the pro version
@@ryanbaileyboxingI have fundrise pro and didnt pay anything.
I’m going to start buying foreclosures and short sales
Thank you for posting this
Thanks for watching!
I am down 8% after a year and half. Trash.
Yeah it says my total contribution is $810 but my account value is $791 smdh make it make sense
Has anyone here invested in Arrive?
The loss this past quarter through June definitely wasn't pretty.😢
Yeah, it definitely wasn't. :( Oh well... you win some, you lose some.
What was the loss
I suffer the lose as well. bad time for real estate this year.
Remember they don't explain anything it is a platform, they change things a lot so fundraise wins big. You waited months later, is that he scam ,since the price fluctuates within the months you wait for a withdrawal a hassle, you say, is that a scsm. I read a review , someone said withdrawal is convoluted .
it doesn't seem that different from REIT's other than being a lot less liquid. It doesn't seem worth it
There is a huge difference with reits. Reits are constantly buying and selling extremely short term speculation Fundrise buys longer term like u would if you were actually buying. Fundrise returns are much higher and losses much less than a typical reit. They are however not nearly as liquid which is the price u pay for higher returns
A few months to wait for a full withdrawal only to make
Yep, I hear you.
That’s why you don’t invest more than you can lose
Not bad
So to think about it, u didn't have much gain in 5 years invested. I mean some is better than nothing but still not much.
he almost doubled his money, if he didn't take out that original $1000.
Signed up under you
I am definitely not imprwith fundrise. Have a little over 4k and been a couple years now and all I see is downward motion with no explanation
Yeah, I can see that. Things have not gone quite as well over the past couple of years.
Will you invest in Fundrise again?
Maybe. I'm not against the idea.
@@Retipster Why will you invest in Fundrise again?
@@keithnoland3691 because it’s dead nuts easy. I can always use more easy things in my life!
@@Retipsterthanks this review really helps and love the nearly sarcastic tone lol
Publicly traded reits are on sale right now. You can find tons of reits paying 9 to 15% dividends with opportunities for appreciation in stock price. MPW is one of my favorites. I also like ETFs like MORT and REM.
