Along with it we also launch the Tata Steel Chess contest. Each chess calendar kicks off with the Tata Steel tournament in Wijk Aan Zee, Netherlands. This year as well we have the Masters and Challengers category. Your task is to guess who are the players who will win the title in Masters and Challengers section. And the person who gives the right answer will get a chess board signed by Sagar and Amruta, the founders of ChessBase India.

1199 I think. Just arrived 2 days ago. It's better than other sets at the same price. Wooden ones pieces are very small. If pieces are good the chess mat was very bad. I returned 2 purchases before settling with chessbase India set.
The best thing is it is actually bigger than it appears on camera. The pawn of this chess set was bigger in size than rook of my previous set lol

I shipped mine to Calcutta! Totally loved it. Great quality and pieces. Gives a feeling of royalty. Was just one issue. The cross of the black king and the dot on the bishop came broken. Had to use feviquik. Apart from that A1 possession!

I bought it recently when I arrived from US (I had ordered it beforehand so it was waiting for me when I got to India). It is very high quality, especially the pieces are heavy and so well made. I had a lot of fun playing with all my friends and cousins here and I will be taking the chess set back with me to the US! Thanks you!

this Might be too much to ask but Sagar Sir it'll be Great if There's Set with Wooden Pieces, I've always used wooden pieces, On one hand it's Environmental friendly and it also gives work to Chess artisans.
@vikas Trees.... Which are grown for the specific purpose of using wood for making stuff.
it's actually Pro Environment because these Trees are Planted.
Also it's about Wood being biodegradable, which Plastic is not and you might be surprised to know 40% plastic goes uncollected and a little share of Collected Plastic goes to recycle. Rest end up in Landfill Or in kilns.

Totally loved the chess set , using it for more than a month now and it's totally amazing the quality of chess pieces is mind-blowing also the board is of top quality.
What's the material used in making the pieces- plastic or wood?
May be pack in the pieces in the pouch directly instead of plastic? The board and the pieces look great, then packaging however feels a bit messy
