You should NEVER clamp a carbon seat post in your work stand. Back when seat posts were aluminum and frames were steel tubes that was O.K., but with carbon frames and seat posts you risk crush damage from the clamp itself, and the seat post may be subject to too much lateral stress when applying torque to the Italian thread bottom bracket cups on the Pinarello frame. Instead of clamping a carbon frame directly with your stand, it is much safer to clamp to a SILCA Hirobel which holds the frame securely without applying stress.
