hello I will have questions about the heart 1- Is it necessary to increase the end-diastolic volume to increase systolic pressure? 2- If peripheral resistance increases, does diastolic pressure and systolic pressure increase? 3 - If the heart is pumping 70 cc of blood, where does the remaining 40 cc go? 4- If the pulse volume peripheral resistance and diastole remain normal, does cardiac output and blood pressure increase even if only the pulse is fast? 5 - If blood pressure increases, does blood flow accelerate or if blood pressure decreases, does blood flow stop?
Hi! I am trying to lose pounds, I am 54 and I have a smart scale. I am doing well on the losing, but I am seeing on my scales my skeletal muscle is going up, but my “muscle mass” is gone down. Can anyone tell me why? I am lifting weights to prevent muscle loss. So when I saw my skeletal muscle was not being lost I was happy but then move to the muscle mass icon it was lower.. I know it is not exactly accurate but it is some place in the ball park. So I wonder why and what the difference in miscle mass and skeletal muscle is.. what exactly of the muscle mass am I losing if I gained skeletal muscle. But I research and I get skeletal muscle and smooth muscle videos but not understanding if smooth muscle is same as the muscle mass. Does that mean I lost smooth muscle ? And is that awful? I am purposely trying to not lose muscle. Just fat is what I want to lose.. I am 54 yr old female with complete hysterectomy, been trying to find out what works for me to lose the belly fat and get arms that are not jiggly. I have taken a long time to lose 12 pounds so far. And before that I had spent 9 yrs trying ti lose anything! Now I am in a slight calorie deficit, some days more than others but I try not to go to low. I am only 5 ft so I don’t need to much calories but I also lift weights and walk my dog and once or twice a week I jog because I enjoy it. Not because I have to. I understand cardio can eat up muscle?? That is what I read, or the long jogs can is what I hear. So I try to do only one or two days a week of that kind of cardio. And I do the firm videos or cathe Friedrich and Kelly coffee heavy weight workouts the rest of the time. Two upper. Two lowers a week. And some days I may do a low weight high reps for a cardio session for fun. What am I doing wrong? Or am I doing something wrong? And what is the difference between skeletal muscle and muscle mass when it comes to losing weight? How else can I make sure not to lose bone mass or muscle? Thanks!
Doctor i have a question ,the muscle fiber is multinucli so each of them contain 46 chromosome,?if contain 46 what happen during cell division whicj one participate, and thats abnormal to somatic cell to contain more than 46?? please explain for me

Doc, it is amazing how trillions of cells bunch together can make something visible and touchable. Right?
