- Furry Conventions are very intriguing especially if you are ripped. I appreciate them giving me a press pass and allowing me to film. The edible devastated my ability to speak but all in all I had a good experience at the 2020 fur the more anthropomorphic convention.

@@mrperson9482 They were strange tho, one the journalists was really weird. The journalist that covered that guy that took a tab and tried doing standup was a bit creepy. Made me so uncomfortable and I felt so bad for the guy who was tripping. The guy freaked out a bit and the journalist obvously had no idea how to make sure someone is comfortable while on a drug like that. While tripping is crucial to have people to make you feel safe and comfortable and vice fucked that up.
I actually laughed a lot throughout this video. Not making fun of them but just the fact that Brandon was fuggin blitzed our of his skull while conversing with these people. I enjoyed this, Brandon.

They didn't really talk about much and even admitted they wouldn't disclose or talk about certain things, at best all these people cared to shared was their "fursona" , It can be harmless fun for some of them but there are other in that "community" that do abuse animals. I see plenty of people in the virtual chat that identify as a furry and are in fact Very sexual, lewd etc. Its hard to know if these two things coincide as a rule, but its prevalent enough to make me question this furry fad

This was a pretty neat lil vid. Even if I have been at a con myself, this video serves as a reminder that I'm just way more casual with it. I grew up with cartoons like regular show, had stuffed animals instead of action figures, and I've always loved animals in general. All it is for me is looking at dope art and finding like minded people to hang out with. I've never been one to create a whole ass character that has depth and personality removed from my own. My sona is meant to be me, and idk if I'd ever want to go farther with it. I respect the people that get really into it who aren't major creeps, but there's a lot of us who are super casual like me. People who seek a sense of community they missed out on as a kid. Maybe I'm projecting a bit there, but that's my story anyway. I just want some good friends and a cute bf, y'know? Without this community, as much as a love hate relationship it is, it's helped a lot with my walk in life. Helped me find myself. I don't know if I'll always be a furry, but hey. What happens happens, no regrets and all that.

I notice they’re all nerdy type of people. I think they do it to get out of being in their heads, like it’s freeing to be an animal rather than a human who thinks too much about things all the time. I can relate to it. It’s like getting drunk for people who don’t like to get drunk.

Just a thought. The rest are probably just better at hiding it.
Not saying its the majority of them there or that theyre all bad people! Just keep in mind more than a few of the ppl at the con were MOST LIKELY involved in some way. A lot of them seemed super cool!

hey, as a furry i really respect the fact that you treated us like actual people. this video was a fun watch :] here are a few notes i thought of during the video ::
0:00 - the first line of the video: "their sexual fascination with animals" . i know later in the video you learn that this is, in fact, not the whole fandom- but i wanted to draw a clear line between 'animals' and 'furries'/'anthro animals'. yes, there is a sexual side of the fandom (can you think of a single internet subculture that doesn't have a weird sexual side?), but it strictly involves anthro animals. there is a very strong dislike in the fandom towards people who try to disguise their zoophilia as being a part of the furry fandom. furries who participate in the sex side are attracted to their characters because they have human characteristics (they're 'anthro'). it should never be the other way around- for example, people attracted (sexually or otherwise) to their characters that are 'feral' (four legged). furries are not and do not support zoophiles in any way.
-this comment doesn't have a specific timestamp, but i did want to mention that you'll find a lot more fursuits at larger cons! i'd really recommend going to anthrocon in pittsburgh PA, it's the biggest furcon in america (because of this it's also highly moderated and you shouldn't see any pedo/creep vibes), and there's a shit ton of people goofing around in really well-made fursuits there. if you're looking for a con that'll showcase all the different fursuits out there, anthrocon is the way to go!

It is not and if you are caught doing that stuff at a con you will get banned yef most furries do enjoy that stuff but it is NOT all about that. It is mostly about the creativity and making friends - from a furry of 5 years

This is the one of best videos to show to people who aren't familiar with furries. The rainfurrest video from internet historian was probably the worst video to ever come out about the fandom and this absolutely bodies it. It goes out into the field and really shows the lifestyle these people lead, rather than building off of stereotypes and misconceptions. this is up there with the video fredrik knudsen did on them too.
