I really love a good box set. Preferably with generous amount of outtakes and some live stuff and documentary. And a hard cover book is the icing on the cake. Springsteen does it pretty well.
I never had an issue with the 1st Neil Young box. In fact I always liked it’s magnetic split in the middle. I feel the second one wasted so much space and is way too big. But I still like them both. I just prefer when there is a series to have all of the boxsets the same style so they all go together nicely.
I was waiting to see the ZZ Top box, I hear it folds into a Texas BBQ … I love these sets, they’re so inexpensive, I’ve picked up a bunch in the last year … you’ve got a great collection!
I had that one for a while but did get rid of it because of the lack of rare material. I kept the flip book that came with it so that I could watch their guitars spin whenever I want to.
Just ordered up Neil Young-Archives Vol. 2; Midnight Oil-Oil Can set; new Frank Zappa-Erie. All box sets (obviously) from Import CDs w/their 10% off sale. Laughed when got on the Tube to see you posting a box set episode. Great minds think alike, Brendon and have a great one. 💯
Just landed on your channel today. Started on the box set #2 video first so I had to find this one. I had several of the boxes in this video. So much fun! I struggled with how to display them to show the creativity of the best ones, but protect the box too as I always wanted to keep them pristine. I hope there’s a video of how you will organize/display them! ☮️

I have the original Bowie Sound and Vision box a collector’s item now. Another rare box I have is Tommy Bolin The Ultimate one of the first boxes I bought years ago.
Really enjoyed both box set vids. I have only a few you have. Maybe choose a few you like and detail the material. Could be fun. The Danzig one has stellar material. Interested in the Bruce unreleased stuff. He has so much. They kinda chose safe stuff to put out. The Tracks box proves that. The demo for Born in the USA kills. Totally different song. Keep on. Great vids. Thanks
Wow, I thought I had a good boxset collection. Nothing more exciting than jumping into a giant box by a band I don't really know but think I might like. Really interesting package on that Plant set, I don't know if it's harsh on the discs but I love the package.
Hey Brendon! Very nice collection. The last boxset I picked up was YES-The 30th Anniversary of Union. Comes in an equipment box with 30 or so cds/dvds and a bunch of goodies. Waited and did not pre-order. Got it 2 weeks after release and saved over a hundred bucks. I love it and is one of my favorites. 😎
Nice collection. I listen to most of my music via Spotify now and don’t really buy individual CDs, the only way I’ll buy any CDs now is if it’s a CD Box Set.
You turned me onto the Robert Plant: Nine Lives set. I found it for an even $100 in excellent condition. I unfortunately sold my VNV Nation Resonance set for a good price. But that was prior to getting my home sound system set up. Now I can't even find it to buy again. Thanks for sharing. I don't know if you have Mark Lanagan's The Sun Pop Albums... but it's fantastic.
Wow, Brendon. 👍. Really cool. 😊. That Robert Plant boxed set is gorgeous. The artwork is amazing. I would like to get that one. I don't have all of Robert Plant's solo albums so it would not be expensive double-dipping. It is pricey for a new one with the hype sticker on eBay. I may plan to forgo some individual CD purchases to justify it. I had some big boxed sets when I was younger, but I traded them due to storage space at the time and the fact that I rarely got them out. Today, I am selectively buying a few where I will truly carefully enjoy them and not just store them. For beloved impracticality, I have the Midnight Oil Full Tank oil can in my amazon cart. 😎. Some nice pieces in there, i have only a few as my ocd makes it hard for me to have cds of differing sizes, it makes my mind feel cluttered but if i wasn't weird & had the space i would totally invest in some boxsets of my favourite artists. Thanks for running through your collection.
Wow. Some of those box sets are really over the top and make for tough storage issues, lol. I tend to like the basic ones that line up on the shelf like books. Like Pretenders and Tracks and Playback which are 3 that I have. The craziest one I have is the Talking Heads Life During Wartime one that is about 2' long by 6" and tied together so it will all fall apart and is impossible to store with weird art on it. But I have to admit some of the weird ones are pretty cool.

I love box sets, because I love the fact that you get to have a lot of archival material I have been a huge fan of box that’s for years and years and years. I even have a couple of Elvis Presley boxers including today tomorrow and forever which is a four CD box set and includes a bunch of outtakes that weren’t released up until that point and then I have the master recordings from the 60s and 70s I love the titles of these Elvis Presley box that’s like welcome mile in my shoes the 1970s Masters and I have the Beatles box sets especially the remastered versions from 2009 and the Abbeyroad. SuperDeluxe which is a nice box that.
