- I ventured up to St Abbs in Scotland for an overnighter next to the lighthouse, I was joined by Phil the Geordie Backpacker who was on his first of what will be many trips to this wonderful stretch of Scottish coastline.
We were blessed with fabulous weather.

Fantastic location and a great night. Really good video. I know you were legally there but that looked like a really stealthy little pitch. As you say, you gotta love a tarp and bivvy.
Hi and thanks for watching, legal camp yes, but I love just tucking my tarp and bivy in out of the way, just habit really, it also saves unwanted walker’s attention and the unwanted chat that sometimes follows !!!! When I am after a peaceful camp !!!

Great camp in a superb area. We have trained on those cliffs in the past. One way down to the ledge you mentioned is to abseil - relatively safe and easy to get back out. We used to come in by inflatable to the cliff bottoms and have to climb out before doing a lot of kilometers running and then get back and abseil down to the exfil point....lol....great times. Can’t imagine what you were doing, I have always scrambled on mountains in wales but never on ropes, never seen the military up at st Abbs was it in the night ? And the running will have been north where it’s quiet ?

What absolutely stunning coastline and location, wow, breathtaking, what a place for a camp, awesome, what it's all about, definitely would take some fishing gear with me for that camp, just looked it up, 4 hr drive for me, which isn't too bad from notts, did you manage to sort your stove windshield out?, definitely worth a can or 2 for sitting with that view, thoroughly enjoyable video Adrian, good health and safe travels my friend ,cheers craig
Hi and thanks for watching, yes a stunning location for sure, fishing not so easy here as only 3 or 4 spots where you can get down to the rocks and it’s ready, it take me 90mins to get there with the single carriage way A1 traffic !! So add an hour or so lol

I love your videos bud. I was getting the willies watching those cliff edge shots. I've a terrible head for heights. I havent camped for years but i'd love to sometime soon. I can imagine its great for your mental health. Any plans to come and explore the West of Ireland? Some beautiful scenery over here too. Anyway thanks for video and keep them coming

As for Ireland you have some cracking wild remote places but it’s down to commitments time and the old money !

You were so lucky with the ideal conditions for bivi and tarp camping. It was heaven. I was particularly interested to see how Phil arranged his Basha tarp over the bivi in that wind as I only picked my British Army Basha last week.
