I think the absolute best part is that after each episode, he still retains the damage that he had taken. In most exe media, if they take damage, they just regen it,but here? Nope!
His durability is like a zombie minus the brain weakness he isn’t immune to damage just is very durable and doesn’t die from stuff that would normally kill
Fun fact: Eggman outrunning sonic.exe actually DOES appear in the original sonic 2 game. Once you chase eggman you can clearly see him running as fast as sonic. This shows that eggman is pretty fast against sonic but doesn’t show it during the games.
