Thank you for making this video. I was always curious how the YSL WOC compared to the Chanel WOC. I would like to see more handbag videos! However, I do like your Chanel makeup videos, too!
With this same bag, i had the same problem that occurred within two months when I did not even use the bag. The same problen occurred to my sister's ysl envelope small woc. The store gave me a store credit but not to my sister. Their after service wasnt consistent and rude about it. I am never going back to YSL even for other models.

Try pushing the leather tab into the zip compartment itself.. will help preventing it from stabbing the leather on the other side.

For the Chanel WOC you could take out the metal ending part of the zipper and replace it with a very thin satin string so that you could still use it as a zipper pocket if needed, but you would never again damage your WOC. Thank you for this great review :) 😘
You are a beauty / luxury item influencer on TH-cam. I highly suggest you write to YSL and include detailed pictures, as well as a picture of the receipt, and a bulleted list of concerns with a brief summary of each bullet point. Pictures of your managers bag (if she is willing) , will substantiate your findings.
For the Chanel -U can tuck the zipper pull of that top little pocket inside the pocket. I’ve seen it done on the purseforum

the boy woc is really nice, i wish there was a way to minimize the bowing on the woc bc its quite noticeable here too
Tip: If you open de zipper A little bit (as much as the length of the zippertab) it will sit in the line, i think this will help 😊 i do this with my classic flap to preventie an indent

You are one of the few people that mentioned the coating of the YSL wallet and it becoming sticky and tacky. I bought the small envelope wallet and used it for 4.5 years daily. After the second year, especially here in our hot California summers, the wallet had become so so sticky and tacky. I even sent it to the leather surgeons and though they worked on it, it still came back gummy. I guess there is no fixing it. Awesome review btw, and I am looking to getting the classic flap. Hopefully the leather won’t become gross like my YSL did.

wow such a great point you raised! i was thinking about getting the ysl as a 'backup woc' for my chanel one, but the 'sticky leather' comment after the coating has worn off is disturbing... definitely rethinking this one, unless they've changed this since a year ago when this video came out... :S
Why don’t you take the bag back to YSL? They have a two year warranty?
Hi Andrea, I'm currently shopping for a woc and found this video extremely helpful. I initially contemplated splurging on the chanel but was concerned if it was too delicate for daily use, particularly wear and tear on the intertwined leather on the strap. I imagined the ysl would be more robust, until you revealed the opposite is true! Is the chanel still your best recommendation or you have encountered more options today? I am looking for something that can withstand daily use, and not just for evenings out. I appreciate your advice 😀

It's true. It happened to my YSL WOC. I had to take it back to Saks Fifth (after owning it for 7 months, but only had 2-3 uses), they offered me an exchange. I love the bag, but super disappointed with the quality. Keep your receipt!!!

I got a Givenchy pandora wallet on chain, my chain broke once within the first week(I believe the girl gave me the sample cuz the logo was dusty), lol, and I got an exchange for that after I mailed their head office here in Australia. It’s great goat skin, wears beautifully, however the chain starts to wear and I haven’t even got it for a year😩
Can you remove the Chanel zipper tag or tape it down? Can you use colorless shoe polish on the YSL after the coating comes off?

Haha I always carry a pad in it and some receipts and bigger notes. It's very private and surprisingly doesn't take up the space in the front compartments. If I do the same with other wocs this would take up too much space.
Hmm...on my second Coach wrislet now. Brand new and been using for less than six months. Same issue is occurring as my last brown Coach wristlet; the edges of my brown leather is turning red🤔
Can it be re-coated?
