@@rcpilotwillI also fly mainly a bit further but just because I prefer smaller lighter packs :) I’ll keep an eye on that!! :D But I can’t understand why the nose points where you want, better than before (?)…. Cool anyway!! That plane looked like with full on board flying computer 🤣
@2:26, wow!! Epic save, proves you were a great pilot then too, despite having issues with that tight pattern. I'm not sure I could have pulled that off..Hawk is sweet too. Love my FW 70mm, I'm wondering if this one is even better, I hear it is. BAE Hawks track like an arrow -:)
Beautiful wing sir. Very nice flying. People watching who do not fly do not realize that you thing of yourself in the model and if it crashes so do you. Truth is it hurts when you loose a piece of your heart. Excellent flying and a great coach to settle you in to a new place. 🛬🏆👏👏👏👏
I flew mine yesterday. It has always been nose heavy because I put the AR637T behind the battery tray and can't move the battery back any further. Plus, I use an SMC 5000mAh battery. It takes way too much forward stick to fly inverted. I'm going to see if I can put the receiver somewhere else.
How do you know where to stop? Do you have to just fly and try it until it flies poorly again? I’d hate risking some 90mm jets to find out. I’ve always been conservative with the cg because I’ve always heard nose heavy is better than tail heavy. Which I understand! I guess you gotta keep flying it until you like the feeling! That makes me nervous! Great video tho!💪
Thank you. I do know the book recommendations are nose-heavy settings to provide comfortable flight. But like Tom said move back a few mm at a time. Also, more pitch gains are suggested the more aft. you go.
@@mikehench8209 The CG is too far back when the plane climbs by itself in level inverted flight. I like having to hold a slight amount of forward stick during a level inverted pass. If my brain forgets, my thumb will tell me that I need to push harder to go up.
After watching your video I feel a much better pilot! 🤣 :)) So cool!! But look: th-cam.com/video/CFI-nDBb8FU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Y2lLb8qZARJYdox8 this Sunday I maidened an old Mirage I got. I was a bit nervous because it was windy and it was my first 80mm or anything bigger than 70mm 🤣 and it was AWESOME :))))
Nicely done! Great plane. Love the FMS BAE Hawk. I own the third one in the meantime.
I setup all my planes with the CG aft, what a DIFFERENCE, thanks to Two Brothers RC..
His settings are amazing when done correctly 👍🏾

@rcpilotwill
Planes just seem to fight inputs when they are nose heavy...
I just found your video in my TH-cam frontpage algoritme. Love the format. Very honest view of learning. And your doing great 👍 subscribed for sure 😎
Thank you. I'm trying my best to be a better pilot and make better videos. Thank you again 👍🏾
I’m really enjoying the new video format. Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Great job Will! I remember the day I tried the aft CG Jon suggested ! 😂. 80HAWK, 70f18, 64A-10, dream flyers with it for sure! Thanks for sharing
Thank you and yes aft CG is much better.

It does fly great, especially with the more aft CG Jon recommend.
You really have become an amazing pilot bro, and most people wouldn’t have been able to save that stinger… that’s gotta be the best save of 2024!!!
Thanks for the compliment. I won't ever consider myself great cause I still have a lot to learn 😅
@@rcpilotwill you def further along than me, I’ve only buttered landings on grass haven’t graduated to pavement yet lol
Great landing bro. I miss 80mm hawk they fly so well
Thank you 👍🏾

Man you almost sucked them birds into your intake😂 and yes improvements all around my guy, excellent content!
Aww, I was just playing with the birds 😂
😊
Just by coincidence I found and bought yesterday on a cheap deal a FW Bar Hawk 70mm with the new fan already and many spares :D
Sweet 👍🏾

Did someone finally cut the weeds out of the taxiway?
Jon and I are working on cleaning it up. 😉

Just try moving it a few millimeters at a time, eventually you'll notice where the sweet spot is -:)

Did you program flap-elevator mix for landing?
No, I didn't need any.
