This is an awesome film. I didn’t get a chance to see it in the theater. I watched it as soon as it was on D+ (3am on 2/1). I didn’t make it 2 minutes. Tears were streaming down my face. It hit me especially hard as I’m grieving the loss of my wife on 1/30. We were together 22 years and it wasn’t long enough. ❤
I hope he keeps appearing as a villain. He has fought against many other Marvel characters (while not being a complete bad guy), like the Fantastic Four.
I couldn't help but be reminded during the after credit scene about the conversation that T' Challa had with his father in the ancestral plane but in particular when his father stated, " A father who has not prepared his children for his death has failed as a father."-- King T' Chaka 😔
Really nice reaction. I remember how quiet it was in the theater during the Marvel intro. Everyone knew to be silent. All you heard was the wind. Seeing his coffin go up with the crossed arms hit so hard 😔. It actually bookends how the first Black Panther began where he jumped out of the aircraft.

Oh I love this movie! Shuri was so good in this picture. Amazing. I was scared they'd pull back on Namor but they hit him pretty hard. I loved it! Queen Mother...wow. No...WOW! So much emotion, awesome action, great characters. This is 100% my 2nd favorite Marvel movie. Captain America: The Winter Soldier...watch out!

They should do a Disney plus one up special episode like they did with "werewolf by night" for the original characters of "The Defenders" which were "Dr. Strange, The Hulk, Namor (the Submariner), Valkrie and The Silver Surfer". They have had all these characters in the MCU (except for The Silver Surfer who will be introduced soon) and I think it would be so nostalgic to have this team from the Comics on Disney Plus.

I be catching on to the smallest things, for example wth was the plan going into the ocean knowing that was water Nation territory lol...and not alot of ppl catch on with MIT, Riri goes to that school and that's were Peter Parker might be going to...and I'm pretty sure Attuma turns on Namor in the future for showing mercy to wakanda.
Shuri was leading her best soldiers and generals to their deaths with that plan. We saw that even if Namor was killed the wakandan's were surrounded and about to be killed.
The plan was to lure Namor, capture him, and retreat. It wasn't meant to be a full all-out battle. They knew the easiest way to get him was in the water, and also to keep other civilizations from getting fucked up the way Wakanda did. They just wanted to get Namor and leave. They did the plan that way so they wouldn't have to take on the full Talokan army, just the little bit of people he rolled up with. They didn't expect Namora's crazy ass to force her way through the sonic blasts and bomb their ship up before they could leave...

@Don cacique Oh, I get that. I was referring to the reasoning why set up her attack in the water. I find a lot of people seem to be confused by this particular aspect of the plan, so that's what I was explaining. It was supposed to be an in-and-out type of mission...
The real tribute would've been to recast the character so that the story can go on , that's how you truly honor someone's legacy you continue what they started and pass the torch not extinguish the fire . The character of TCHALLA was too important to kill off in a FICTIONAL universe , there was no need to use a REAL man's death to base it on . Imagine how the family felt having to grieve in real life and then RELIVE it when watching the movie ... yes it is a mantle but there's ways around that . Batman is a mantle but how many batman movies are you gonna watch without BRUCE WAYNE . How many Bruce Wayne recasts have we had ? Jokers ? Superman ? Hulk ? Spider-Man ? Imagine tobey maguire passing away and sony being like "okay no more peter parker cause only tobey was allowed to play that role" . Chadwick himself has stated in interviews that he hates when people act like actors own a role because it takes away from other hungry actors looking for their big break , in other words it robs them of their chance to shine (look it up) . Even then his family has come out stating they believe he'd want the role recasted and supported to recast movement and they know him far better than fans , cast , or crew . Tchalla is too important to the black community especially the young black boys , big L on marvels part

Weren't the tribes in Wakanda united long before King T'Chaka? Seems this reactor is only going by the little shown in the first movie. Not a good sign of an intelligent reactor.
This movie is so overrated, the hommage to Chadwick is good but that's pretty much all it's got, the rest of the movie is boring af with lots of useless fillers you could remove and it wouldn't have any impact on the movie at all

Yup. It was a callback to that. There's a lot of callbacks to both Civil War & Black Panther...

I enjoyed this a bit more than i thought but definitely not as good as the first. Disney/Marvel has become so formulaic and predictable its boring.
