I keep reading on here that Hollywood doesn't laugh at itself or Americans were offended but where? Most Americans I've talked to enjoyed Ricky as much as we did in the UK. And most of the celebs in this video were laughing louder than anyone.
You and others must be watching different videos then. All those audible laughs and smiling faces say otherwise. Maybe some celebrities, like any human, can’t handle all the jokes but overall there’s always a room full of laughter. Those who spend their time knocking on celebrities and claim they’re all puppets while they themselves listen to whatever garbage a bunch of conspiracy right-wing nutcases feed their audience, on the other hand, certainly lack a sense of humor. And a brain.
That's why Robert De Niro nailed all those gangster roles, because he really is one. I've watched all of the Ricky Gervais Golden Globe shows and most people are weirded out and shocked, but Robert just laughs his ass off the entire show. Props to him for not giving a single fuck and enjoying comedy.
Ricky Gervais is one of the smartest comedians of all time. All of his jokes are very very intelligent, and despite the fact lots of people judge his sense of humor, he showed everyone how you should host a show like this... Pure genius, love him

This was done so perfectly. His cadence and flow, and the way he turns the card over as if to think there could be something written is just so spot on that it was brilliant. Tom hanks was laughing in his head as he heard that. He came out and said something dumb, but you know he giggled in his head standing next to Tim.
I have lost count of the number of times I have seen this video. Ricky is just epic with his typically British, rude, I don't give a damn what people think about me humour. No american would be this rude so it is fascinating to see a pesky Brit stick it to them.
