Sadly. This would be the one and only suit of its kind. It was far too expensive to mass produce, costing more than even Master Chief's Mjolnir Armor to build (which costed more than a Destroyer-class Vessel). And this invasion here caused all data regarding the project to be destroyed as part of the Cole Protocol.
This was one of the saddest animations I've ever seen, money was well spent when I bought Legends. This only made it all the more sad... yet... still inspriring.
It really was. And when Halo: Reach came along, despite the fact that we KNEW how it would end from the lore in earlier games, we threw ourselves into battle with a righteous fury that I'd never seen from gamers before, or since. The Halo-verse was something we loved, something we wanted to preserve, and the idea that we could lose even a tiny piece of it whipped us into a frenzy. We knew deep down that we couldn't truly win the game, but that didn't stop us from trying anyway.

Being a hardcore Halo fan, I definitely would not mind this studio making an animated story of Halo using Halo 3 armors and such like they used in here. The story should be either about the marines or the ODST's or both. Either way, both stories have the potential to be memorable and emotional. I honestly hope this studio considers making a series of Halo. I wouldn't even care if it was canon or not
I still prefer The Yggdrasil armor over The Mantis. The Mantis is significantly larger, heavier, and slower for not even a fraction of what Ghost did here. It makes The Mantis a little less impressive to me knowing what it's predecessor was.
@@Nostroman_Praetor the UNSC could not afford to mass produce these ground weapons, they needed more ships, mainly because the ground wars were actually incredibly favourable for the UNSC, but also because the Covenant just glassed any planet with their ships.
According to the wiki this suit branched into the less powerful, but more efficient to use Mjolnir armor for the Spartans, and the Mantis mech. Makes me wish the latter retained this suits scale and maneuverability, but then again we go to Halo for, well, Halo, not armored core lite lol.

John may have finished the war but he would have never done it if without the sacrifices of the normal soldiers. They're are so many more characters that deserve the name Spartan.

The liberties taken to further a "plot" has played pretty fucking fast and loose with a lot of elements that many fans just can't look past anymore. You've obviously never read Fall of Reach. The "liberties taken" aren't near as off story as you seem to believe. Only one novel follows the story of any game and expands upon it. Bungie themselves walked away without having any idea what to do next. They created a prequel before departing to create a garbage heap of a story. 343 is what keeps the series alive. The Didact, The Librarian, The Warden Eternal, and Cortana's current form do not dismantle or otherwise defile the previous narrative. Spartan IVs make sense just as much as any special forces do. Technology is tested, proven, and applied. The Forerunners also had attempted other methods before nuking themselves, so how do the Guardians alter that narrative? What has been played fast and loose with the series since Bungie's departure? Your argument is based on pure personal preference without a shred of any evidence to back it. People have been complaining about Halo since 2. The claims that ODST sucked, 3 blew, Reach was awful are not knew. Some people just can't handle change. It doesn't mean that the foundation of the story is affected negatively just because a new chapter is added.

Keep in mind, plasma weapons turn a human body into slurry and superheat UNSC plate armor and it sustained more damage then standard spartan shields will hold up against before being overwhelmed when unable to concentrate deflection to a single direction. Ghost's arm also only exploded from a plasma grenade, which normally frys anything within a 13ft radius of the blast, and it only took Ghost's arm off. *And it can fly* I don't care how expensive one of these was to produce even in limited numbers, or if The data was erased with The MK-1 prototype, The UNSC have already fielded lumbering walkers that are three times the height of this armor for only a fraction of its results, and the surviving marines the evacuated definetly caught raw combat data on their helmet cams of Ghost tearing apart everything around him.
