- Kendal is a market town in Cumbria, home of the Lake District. It is often referred to as the Auld Grey Town due to the many limestone buildings.
Let's take a short wander around and see if we think that's true.....
Please help me to grow my channel - like, comment, share and subscribe - thank you 🙏
Thanks for sharing, love the Lake District 😊
Even the grey bits 😅
Such a beautiful, picturesque town set in breathtaking surroundings. I feel so lucky to reside in Kendal. Moving here, helped me bring my passions together: Motorcycles, Photography and beautiful scenery. Thank you for helping spread the word of the peace and tranquillity only an Olde Worlde Town, steeped in history can provide. Keep up the good work. Best wishes from the Lone Wolf in the lakes. 🕊
Thanks for your comment, good to hear some positivity 👍
@@WalkAr0und No worries, take it easy and have fun. :)
Nice video frand
Thanks, thought I would try a little music for a change
Kendal's not in the Lake District BTW!
Nice video, noticed you didnt go into the shopping center, probably a good job, they killed it by putting the College in there
It was a very quick visit that day, didn’t have a chance to explore every street and alleyway.
The Auld Grey Town of Cumbria ?....This is an English town...not Scottish...although it does lie close to the border
@@free..to..air.. Cumbria is north of England, at least it has been while I lived here for the past 20 odd years 😉
@@WalkAr0und Cumbria is an English county in the country of Great Britain...end of
Scots and northern English dialects share a common linguistic heritage stemming from Old English and Norse influences
Been living here for 13+ years to me nothing is special
There’s beauty in everything, you just have to look, not see 🙂
@WalkAr0und I mean to be fair the history is quite interesting but if you havr bee. Living here for a bit it just gets boring after some time
Sure, I can imagine that is the case, familiarity breeds contempt. I get the same feeling in my town, maybe more, I have lived here for more than 20 years and it’s smaller than Kendal. Probably why I spend so much time going to other places 😅
@codingbeast6927 I move about. Give it a go
