The signs are covered with red pieces of paper because the restaurant was waiting for an auspicious day for their "formal opening". But Lin Heung Lau has been around for a long time and recently had to close. They decided to reopen again because their staff took over the business from their former employer. Therefore, they were "opening" again.
@@StephandPete We’re headed to HK end of May! Spending two months in South Korea, and then onto Taipei and HK for a few days each on our way home. We’re only in HK for two days - would you guys recommend visiting Macau or just staying in HK to get the most of it? Can’t wait for the Taiwan videos too - looks incredible already!
I love to eat at the Dai Pai Tongs and the Restaurants but the flight is just too far for me! 😭 So, I am enjoying everything vicariously through your video. Great Hong Kong vibes! Thank you!❤ Subscribed. 13:0320:42
2 Months ago i arrived from Hong Kong to Vietnam. saw your stories from HK on Instagram, at the same time sittning in Chic Chillax, Hoi An (your rec) magical world☺️
Go to Australia Dairy Company. And get clay pot rice, and roast goose, and wonton noodle soup, dai pai dong food, go to sai gong for seafood, or Cheung Chung for their seafood.
2:41 I think I'm on Ten's side. If I had ordered pork bun I would probably have been served a bun that was either steamed or baked with pork filling in it. So, the corned beef and egg should have been inside a sealed bun. What he had was like he said is 'on a' bun. Haha, it was a fun little debate. In any case , I hope his sandwich was delicious regardless.
As a recent visitor to HK, I gotta say u have to have thick skin almost everywhere you go there..... most service staff show a blank face, not a greeting or a thank-you.... so that was quite a culture shock to us! And at that round 2 dim-sum place (Lin Heung Kui), the staff there were EXTREMELY rude and because it was our first time, we didn't know how to manage chaotic table-grabbing... and just because I look Asian, some of those old guys just kept yelling and making me move in Cantonese..... but other than that episode, HK is a food paradise if you can find good value eats!!
