- Daniel Barenboim and Edward Said, the late esteemed scholar and critic, founded the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in 1999 to enable intercultural dialogue and to promote the experience of collaborating as a matter of common interest.
This group of Israeli, Palestinian, and other Arab musicians continues its mission at Carnegie Hall during the 2018-2019 season. - เพลง

All respect and reverence to maestro Daniel Barenboim, to the wonderful Edward Said and his wife. At this moment, 05/05/2024, we so need your project of unity, respect and peace between nations and, urgently, to save the Palestinians.
Daniel Barenboim has the answer to peace. This video is inspirational in times like this.
Possibly one of the most attractive looking orchestras in the world, for sure.
Maestro Daniel Barenboim definitely deserves a Peace Nobel price!!

But the orchestra simply doesnt cover the fact of reality and the conflict and the occupation, yes music indeed can help us get to know each other and communicate but thats far from having peace.
