When I see a super successful, famous person in the entertainment industry, I now wonder what they had to do to get that success or what is out there about them that is compromising which will be used against them if they get out of line.

My neighbor actually dated him in high school way before he was famous. She said they just were close friends before going on a few dates. She said that he was an extremely nice and understanding person back then. The power must have gotten to his head and corrupted him.

They don't have to be in real life "actual sweet loving fathers/uncles". It's called ACTING. Acting literally means being able to play the part you are given. To portray. And in Hollywood or most any parts, they want attractive, cute, adorable etc adults, teens and adults. Knowing what "sells" in his opinion is something any actor or producer or director is something they want because it means more viewers and that means higher ratings. He did not mean it in a sexual way I strongly believe. But we all know to be frank, what is cute or who is handsome ect. That is the harsh reality of television and movies. And also to be frank, as a parent, you are making that decision to have your children judges by looks and behavior. If they are crying/whining/non cooperative, I can't understand how that would drag on a set having to do things over and over as it would make the whole day draining and tedious. Just be literal and professional about it because it's NOT personal; it is business.

He IS peculiar. His kind of weird makes me wonder if he comes from a creepy wackadoo family. It is stunning he admitted to swapping with his friend because this is OBVIOUSLY criminal since she did not know or consent. It's cruel too. It's depressing to think about how awful some people can be to others, so easily.

And she thought that was kind of weird but he was a really nice and kind and compassionate person. They only went out twice before she met someone else and they went their separate ways. I wonder if you're right and there was something in his family. I also wonder if he was just pretending to be a good person back then or if he actually was and the second he got a taste of power and success it immediately went to his head. I agree, I always cringed at those too. I actually believe a child should not be kissed on the lips ever by anyone. What if someone has a cold sore? The child could possibly be infected with the oral herpes virus and have it the rest of their life. I am super weird about that.
Years ago I had a horrible boyfriend who did that to me, similar situation we were all drinking and he left “to go get something” and told his friend to go In instead. His friend told me later because he felt guilty. I felt clearly more violated by my then boyfriend than the other person. I had been with that boyfriend for years at that point, and I couldn’t believe he would be capable of that. I’ve never heard of anyone else having the same situation. It definitely messed with my head for a long time. I can’t believe he would be bragging about that, that is very sick and disturbing.

His ex wife Rebecca Romijn wasn’t just a random actress. She was a very successful, famous fashion model in the early 2000’s. She then became an actress, she starred on Ugly Betty then went on to be the original Mystique from the X Men movies. She was so well known when they married she hyphenated her name to Rebecca Romijn-Stamos instead of just taking his.
See that’s why I would never let my wife keep her last name because no matter what people will see it as a lack of respect.

In the 80s, movies like "Revenge of The Nerds" and even "Sixteen Candles" normalized this kind of behavior. Those are two movies I can think off right off where a person is tricked into "doing it" with someone, because they think they're someone else.
Then there are movies like "Heathers" where a girl gets brutally "r-worded" as her friend sits and watches and doesn't make a move to help her.
It wasn't until around the late 90s when we finally began to realize that it's not ok!!! Really-watch your favorite 80s movies if you dare. So many of them include abuse of a woman and they normalize it completely.
Even in "The Breakfast Club" there are two instances: 1) Bender is hiding under the desk, and he decides to basically SA Claire and 2) when they tell their secrets and Allison talks about her shrink "nailing her" and Claire berates her and puts her down instead of recognizing that she was r-worded,
Anyway, not excusing Stamos AT ALL, but I wonder how many people were groomed by these movies into being complicit either in being victimized or the victimization of another person.

I can totally agree with his drinking issues back in the day. A girl I met at a party spent the night hitting on me. Towards the end of the night, she shared with me that she wanted me to go with her to meet up with a drunk Stamos at a high end hotel here in my town. She was with him the night before and he asked her to bring a friend. I thought it was bullstuff, but she showed me the texts they were exchanging including his dirty pics that he was sending her in real time. I totally didn’t, that’s not at all my thing for many reasons. Yes, he was damn good lookin’ but he was clearly blitzed.
To note, this was before his current wife. He was single at the time, and he wasn’t cheating. However, baby boy had a mad drinking problem.

I have one about John Stamos. I worked at Disneyland for a year, special events (Catering). One of the things we did were for celebs, or anyone that wants one. It's they'd get a green room. So they have somewhere to hangout, rest, eat and drink stuff we bring for them, but mostly celebs. Some would request specific things, food from one of the restaurants usually. Most were super cool, would talk to us. John Stamos specifically told our management (before we even got to the location) that we were not to look at him in his eyes. So super awkward. I literally was just looking for the tea on him. Because he wrote that song for them on the show and then the entire time it’s like he didn’t like the Olsens. And he went from aging gracefully to looking like he had been hungover on drugs.
