Great video, I appreciate the emphasis that lifters and wedge robots can be hazardous if not handled properly! Your channel has been pivotal in my goal to enter this awesome sport :)
If I may ante in one small note from my non-combat robotics experience: even on fully passive features, I recommend being very mindful of any sharp corners, thin edges, or pinch points on your bots when handling them. A thin sheet of metal doesn't need to have very much speed or mass behind it in order to utterly ruin your day, and even a small lifter or exposed drive gear can tear up your fingers quite badly if you get them stuck in the mechanism.

All very true. I have gotten hurt much more by sharp tools and papercuts from boxes and stuff than the robots when I am actively being careful and mindful about safety much more so!

I’m thinking of doing BattleBots but because of weird autism habit, I tend to chew on a lot of things like I’m serious. I would totally be the strange person chewing on something on the robot. How can I stop that lol like my buddy let me look at his combat robot and it had TPU components that were soft and rubbery, I just could not resist chewing on it.
