REALLY looking forward to trying this on leather. I've been struggling with S17 getting bubbles, moisture concentrated spots, adhesive sticking to backing, while using the shirt press. I've ruined a lot of leather trying to figure out the duration, pressure, temp. Your product seems pretty easy to apply. The hardest part of making hats has become the adhesive application. I'll be applying your material using both methods, iron and shirt heat press.
So I am on your website and there is no technical data on this material ... does this backing liner stay on after adhering and peel cold, or prior to adhering the patch? I need to get in contact with you Josh for my shop and my channel here
The backer liner (the opaque white sheet) is only a carrier sheet for the adhesive and can remain attached or be removed prior to being used in your laser bed. It’s mostly a matter of preference and your settings used.
Does this stuff work as good as hydbond?, Shipping kind of takes forever with them but the product is the best I've used..Im in Texas so im sure shipping would be much faster, but does it perform similar?
Josh, you have a great product! We tested everyone’s product we will only buy from you from now on. Keep up the good work. Mike and Amy
Have you tried a rotory cutter like you use for fabric to cut your leather? I use one to cut out small patches in your leatherette.
Great video Josh. Thanks waiting on my first order to arrive!
Just bought 5 yards!!! I’m getting ready to start making laser engraved hats.
Congrats! That’s awesome! Let us know if you have any questions

Is there an item # for the Duets material in that color on your hat? I looked on the JDS website and could not find it. Thanks

Can you do this with say just one patch already cut out, if you won't be doing more than 1 hat
Yes, we have several customers who use their laser to cut patches out individually.
So do you press the patch to the hat for the same time & temp as applying the adhesive to the leather??
No. We have the answers to those questions on our website under FAQs
Love it !!!
What type of Gemini duets and thickness are those? So many to pick from!
We carry Rowmark on our website now and once we move into our bigger shop we will offer a lot more colors.
How are you on shipping times? Ive been using hydbond but they are a little behind on shipping.
Our packages go out same day if placed before noon. We are centrally located in Texas as well so usually 2-3 days shipping.
Legit stuff
The piece on your hat is Acrylic?
That’s correct. It’s called duets by Gemini
@@LoneStarAdhesive you used a heat press to apply?

Is there a number to call? I want to order a bulk order I just want to make sure I’m buying the right stuff!

Is it the same time/temp on the hat press?
300 for 50 seconds for a single platen and
280 on top 320 on bottom for 45 seconds on a dual platen heat press.
What is the pressure for a cap press. I have an old hotronix cap press-is it heavy pressure? Will the center crease come through?@@LoneStarAdhesive
