just a little bit of context that many will miss: the 'womens rights' part is extremely sad, especially the end where the names of the victims are shown and you hear screams. its an actual recording of a tragedy where Emine Bulut got stabbed to death in public by her ex-husband. if you listen carefully and understand turkish, you'll hear her screaming 'i dont want to die' and her 10 year old daughter desperately pleading for her mother not to die. its just heartbreaking and hard to listen to if you understand it but makes the verse even more powerful.
11:11 he doesn't only talking about Syria's situation. Syria was our neighbour country but there is a HUGE uncontrollable migration from Syria to Turkey, they can get citizenship so easily. He wants to say: "they were our neighbours, and now are they our citizen?" At first this was temporary, but they are not returning even after the war is over. And this became a cause of worry for Turkish citizens.
"I don't know how they live in this country." I was listening this part with the tears in my eyes, about to cry... We don't live, we try to survive here from the government and its regime... The problem is, turks doesn't know how to defend their rights. We sing & dance to protest, even in our physical protests we gave flowers to police and shared our meals with them, who came with their tear gas and water cannons, for god's sake! Even though secular people outnumbers on the conservative ones, we are so naive compared to them. Conservatives have the government (which is a whole other story, they didn't come like a normal government), they also have guns that they took videos to show off with and they sometimes state that we (secular ones) should be careful. So we try to be "careful" to... you know... since there is no government preventing them doing sth bad to us... So no, we don't live. We survive.

6:00 He is not part-German (or well, maybe he is but that's not what "White Turk" means). "White Turk" refers to urban secular liberals. The complimentary "Black Turks" being rural religious conservatives. "White Turks" have also generally been the socioeconomical-political elites. Thought the Government from early 2000s has been religious populist dominated. There is a Wikipedia page explaining the term, both in English and German.
"white turk" means either white skinned european looking turks or as what Gokbay said educated secular middle/upper class turks that works in office jobs and also with "anglo-saxon laws" he is refering to western, secular values and lifestyle
The song at that part talks about how he didn't care about the country's current problems, went to holidays instead, never voted, and only cared about his wannabe startup and the starbucks coffee cup he had in his hand. All of these things are what we associate with "white collar" people (beyaz yakalı). White Turk has nothing to do with ethnicity or political views. Everyone in our country who did not care about the societal problems and only talked about what was trending, and mind that these people are not conservaties but actually very liberal people, are the elites and white collars, white turks.
Thats a really good view, understanding and explanation to the themes in this song I’m just thankful that you internalised and deeply connected to it. Can’t thank more.
