@@rockstarscat don't be sad, mr troll! if you save up your allowance for few months you can probably afford your very own tonex one, but you'll probably want to learn to play guitar first for maximum enjoyment. Have a geat day under that bridge!
Thanks, I could not hear the delays and mods at first. Your video taught me that I should save it first before transferring the preset to the tonex one. Cheers!
I love the Tonex One and the amp captures are fantastic. I have it interfaced with my HX Stomp loop and sounds great. However I am disappointed with how IK made the new effects update. Its very inconvenient to have to create new presets just to apply those new effects. And the effects are not switchable. Therefore pretty unusable for me, although the effects are pretty good. I am sticking with the effects of my Stomp and external pedals.
agreed, while it's great to have the effects on the tonex one, the implementation makes it difficult, it's a lot better on the bigger tonex, but i think it's simply down to hardware limitations (with the one switch and midi switching in mind) if there had been say a minijack midi input on the tonex one that would have been crazy, still a great piece of kit, i'm using mine mainly as a backup to my FM3
Q: Is there a way to preview the sounds before saving and moving them over to the Tonex One? Also, is there a simple way to edit the effects once they have been migrated (e.g. lowering the mix level of your delay or tapping in a tempo)? The step by step edit and transfer guide is great btw. Nice work.
thanks 🙏 unfortunately the tonex one is a lot more limited than the bigger tonex -you can't edit on the pedal , you can only edit presets within the Tonex app, and tweak there before moving them over to the Tonex One -this means you can't easily tweak say delay/mix level on the pedal like you can with the reverb -the only way this is possible if Tonex One gets a further update, and a second ALT mode where the three knobs will turn to MOD & Delay if that makes sense so unfortunately you have to tweak within the app first and then move them over, no other way that i can see for now =( maybe Ik Multimedia will incorporate a better way of doing this in the future
@@paulbradshawguitar Thanks for the clarification, and the first question? > Is there a way to preview the sounds before saving and moving them over to the Tonex One?
@@michaelmuilenburg9945 ah sorry, yes on the Tonex SE app you basically make a preset with the effects and play through the app, once you have it dialed in transfer it to the pedal
@@paulbradshawguitar - I have not figured out how to "play through the app." Is the Tonex One the interface or are you using the app as a plugin in your DAW?

yes you can upload presets from ToneNet into Tonex or Tonex SE and Tone ONE =) there are paid profiles online where this isn't possible, I can't share the FM3 one yet, but I'll share this one, which is from a video coming out tomorrow, it's a boosted/processed version of my VHT Deliverance 60 , has the same vibe basically: www.tone.net/tonex/tonemodels/66232
unfortunately not, you can only adjust those parameters within Tonex app, not on the Tonex One pedal itself there's a tap tempo feature (when you hold down the button to enter tuner mode you can tap tempo) but that's about it
@@paulbradshawguitar well, at least there is tap tempo. I consider the ToneXone the simple one. So having A dry and B with some FX is already a good solution for me. But I am going as minimal as posible :)
@@javierthewish yeah it's super basic, but as a backup rig i think it's a solid contender, can easily fit in a gigbag, doesn't take much to power it, for my use having two presets (one with and without effects as you say) works fine =) but anything more complicated it's best to add more pedals + small pedalboard
@@paulbradshawguitar It took too long for them to release the update and I lost interest due to the tons of videos that were being created prior to its release. And now that it's finally released, Wow it's awesome and way to complicated for my taste. I already love it as an amp capturer/Modeler that sits comfortably my BigSky and Timeline. Maybe there will be an update in the future making it easier to operate.
@rockstarscat good points, i think in your use case, the fx don't really add anything, you're getting a lot more out of the other pedals on the board, i think the tonex one is too limited either way to really take advantage of the FX, the larger tonex with a midi controller sounds quite good, I'm just not sure about spillover/trails on the bigger tonex, i can imagine that being problematic
I bought Tonex One a few days ago, it sounds quite good, but as a plugin it works much better with a few effects, doubled with one reversed polarity it does a really good job, a single pedal alone is not impressive
yeah, the plugin with the effects does sound better , i think to some extent given how it's stereo and the pedal is either mono or stereo depending on how you hook it up, you can also add a lot more plugins/effects/processing via your DAW with the plugin which is cool the update has me curious about the bigger tonex and if/how that might be something cool to have, but for now the Tonex One is really cool as a solid backup tool, that'll be my next video i think
