I have this same model and modified it with a Vostok lumed bezel. It ran very accurately straight out of the box. FYI the case back threaded retainer ring is a far more effective and durable water resistance mechanism when compared to most other dive watches with screw down backs.
I just had the opportunity to review a similar version and tbh, I didn't like it. For $100 even Pagani Design has better quality watches for much less (shame they are all homages). This one felt too plastic and I didn't enjoy the mineral glass at all, the bezel on the one I tried was very hard to move as well and the rubber strap was the same as this one, very stiff. The seconds hands are too small, even looks comical and mine had very bad QC issues on macro lens. The movement advanced 30 seconds in a day and that wobbly crown is a bit too weird. I thought this watch would be better for the big fuss online. Anyway, great review! Subscribing! Thanks
All valid criticisms! There’s a lot that people let slide at the ~$100 price point. What is fun about this watch is the vintage history and the unique designs this watch uses to solve certain problems compared to Swiss or Japanese counterparts. The wobbly crown being one and the case back ring being another. I completely agree though about the seconds hand. The hands in general are not sized correctly. Agreed!! I wish more companies had that style case back!
Bezel can be used for diving, if you select one with a lume pip. Water pressure prevents it from moving.
