    My biggest problem with self-growth is that it’s so easy to just think and not take any action while action is the most important aspect about anything

      Completely agree.

      Absolutely. I've read a shit ton of books/watched videos and I won't pretend they haven't helped at all. There's been some neat mindset changes and psychological tricks, but 95%+ of all my growth as a person comes from genuine experience.

      Depends, if your actions are based on wrong assumptions, you may end up worse than if you had taken no action. I think that you need both, just actions is hazardous.

    I like these ones where you guys are just kinda chatting with each other about life and interesting stuff. Right now they have less views than the ones where you guys mention famous people in the video title , but I hope you guys keep doing them.

    I think a Gary V short that snuck past all the filters summed it all up for me the other day. Stop listening to everything and everyone. (we're just getting cheap dopamine fixes online)

    Life coaches, who barely had life experience, or had one or two so so ones they keep repeating, then they sell you a certificate worth thousands when they are not even certified themselves. Puke.

    Guys like Tony Robbins preys on people’s weaknesses or void. Most people are not wealthy or don’t have a stellar career or don’t have any love or life partner of their dreams. So it’s all about getting all of these. It’s okay to strive for improvement but you gotta know what you want. Exploiting to sell courses of self-improvement is a crime of the mind scammed into paying thousands instead of reading literature and/or philosophy

    • @growingmybusiness3623
      @growingmybusiness3623 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please explain how its a scam. Nobody is making these people pay lol. If you were broke you sound like the type to look up youtube videos and figure it out. Some people dont have that drive or skill. Some people know what they want but have no clue how to get it. I'm pretty sure the people paying thousands into a random person realize they can read books at a library for free or have internet to access youtube if they've found his content.

    I guess the life coach route makes sense as a business. Finding 1,000 people in the world who are doing life worse than any given life coach wannabe has to be pretty easy.
    "My life sucks. But it's better than yours. Find out how to be like me!"

    • @kevin-johar
      @kevin-johar ปีที่แล้ว

      I think this is pretty valid. I think it's always about being a few steps ahead of someone, when selling a consulting service. I think people should have good faith in presenting what they can offer. Plus I think coaches at various points in their life is good. Tony Robbins might not be able to connect with someone who is barely starting and maybe a coach who is closer to that person's state can explain how they JUST got past the same struggles.
      Key of course is, be honest about what you can help with and probably be very niched down.

    0:58 words of truth! And that's because the successful entrepreneurs don't have the time to waste with this schemes. Some of my friends or acquaintances have become "life coaches" and I wondered where do they get the nerve to pretend to coach others, when their own life was a mess, or just as regular and unsuccessful as other people's lives. In the past, a mentor was someone with real value based on life experiences, nowadays seems like any looser can peddle fake hopes for success. That's the sad truth of our society. I for one, qualify as a demotivational speaker, crusher of hopes and dreams, bubble burst expert. I won't peddle success, I'm telling reality as it is.

    My best friend spent $10k to go to a 2-day “Life Coach Seminar” to teach her how to be a kick ass coach. How can you...teach a whole group of wildly different people how to just flat out be a specific kind of coach in 2 days? Yeah you can’t. So anyway, she came back all gung ho like, “For only $899, I’ll tell you HOW TO MAKE ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUUUUE”. And the most ironic part being, her mental/emotional health and personal life were in shambles. Plus I felt like I could never talk to her sincerely anymore because everything became a coaching opportunity. Blehhhhh. She lost respect from intelligent people, thousands and thousands of dollars, and a best friend.

    Working with people as a Life Coach is WAY TOO SERIOUS!!!❤

    I'm looking to become a life coach since developing myself with action-based strategies for years, through trial and error. Certification is optional but I think it should be mandatory because any idiot can claim to know how to help someone. Courses in coaching are not the same as certified training, they are more like little add-ons. Proper training should include gaining work experience and understanding your niche, so you practise what you preach, as well as knowing a wide range of techniques you know, not think or believe but KNOW work. Even then, each client will have different needs. I think becoming scientifically literate should be part of certification too, as well a basic understanding of psychology (but again, don't mistake yourself for a therapist!). The motivational types are a pain in the ass for genuine life coaches who know what they are doing and can help people properly.

    I loooove your video. I am a coach and my clients are women who benefit from my experience and training as a coach. I have been doing this since 2014. There is no quick making big money. Like every business, it has to be built step by step. Sometimes it takes a bunch of sharp young guys like you to spread the truth about these schemes ...

    I highly disagree. Real life coaching isnt based off templates or models. Its not like a 1 to 1 workshop thats used for everybody. Yes there are fake life coaches that do that and actually dont care. But real life coaching is specific to the person. To be honest the person leads the whole way and discovers themself. The coach just guides them through it. I respect your guys' opinion but I dont want people thinking a coach is a scam when its actually changed so many lives and why its a $1B industry.

    • @KnuckleHeadMusicUK
      @KnuckleHeadMusicUK 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In a way I agree with both: Real life coaching is highly beneficial if done properly as you said, it's just a shame that most coaches are full of vague advice and motivation rather than listening and setting practical goals and strategies for their personal needs. Otherwise one might as well rely on a self-help book.

    I am a big Tony Robbins fan and I couldn't agree more with you! I listened to their podcast a few days ago and I was thinking the same thing. I am fairly new to life coaching but I don't work with just anyone because I am humble enough to know my style of coaching isn't for everyone. That's why I have a detailed questionnaire for them to fill out before I agree to coach them. I want to make sure that I will be able to provide them the value or direction they need to feel more fulfilled before I just take their money.
    Are there any programs or coaches who you think are doing it better?🙏

    really really b-shit because, yes most of them are wannabe, but maaaaan, when you find that one that actually knows and teach and squiz the juice out of him you get tones of amazing grow, and you just need to put everything inside your system, you must work and work hard, but dude, tony robbins is amazing, just learn and understand and implement his OPA life system - you'll be f amazed what's wrong with you, just go after his VALUES principals understanding and make a system out of it, also the questing question part, also habits, beliefes , different understanding and tones more... man, what's wrong with people who don't wanna grow i dont get it
