You can use your argument for any of the drivers who are on the front two rows. He still beat the rest of the grid, regardless. If he does that tomorrow, even if he’s a lap behind he’s still done it.
Quali is not the deciding factor though. Red Bull does not need his 4th place 30 seconds down the field. They need a car that can mess up Mercedes' pit strategy so that Max has a chance to trouble them for the win. If by pitstop time Albon is behind their pitstop window, he might as well just park it. Then it will be the usual Sunday scenario - Max messes up the strategy of closest Merc (i.e. Bottas), that in turn will destroy any potential fight among Mercedes drivers that we could have, bringing the victory on plate to Ham. F1 2020 in a nutshell.

They can't; It would upset the RB business model, and with MAX in RB 1 seat and Gasly in AT 1 seat (he would likely be the perfect replacement for Albon but that will never happen bc then RB would have to admit they were wrong about writing off Gasly for RB) that leaves very limited opportunities for academy drivers

They can't; It would upset the RB business model, and with MAX in RB 1 seat and Gasly in AT 1 seat (he would likely be the perfect replacement for Albon but that will never happen bc then RB would have to admit they were wrong about writing off Gasly for RB) that leaves very limited opportunities for academy drivers
Perez is not going to redbull. Period. Neither is Hülkenberg, and that dude is a total failure in the F1.
