A good way to count the Oro is to split it in 2 of 9/8 + 13/8. Count the quarter notes, not the 8ths. Count the 9/8 as 1 2 3 4.. but with a long 4. And the 13/8 as 1 2 3 4.. 5 6 also with a long 4th beat. The long 4.. is counted as a dotted quarter note = 3 x 8ths.
@@CPez Being friends with someone doesn't mean you fully understand their 'genre'. I don't mean this in an offensive way and it's no doubt you are an excellent musician but I think it's a little ignorant to talk about authenticity of styles and generalise balkan as one style. Tho I admit maybe I'm a little too salty for this haha
@@CPez needed more types of ornaments (gruppetos, mordents) since these are common in all of balkan accordion music + you needed a dry tone (like middle reed clarinet)
Fantastic KingSnowman. I love this 3 part series. I just saw Cory perform yesterday in Chicago. A grande BRAVO.
Thanks Skieye!
Like the teaching method but I'm still so lost, I'll be back when I can keep up.
