Great video. Very useful. Thank you.
I've tweaked mine based on yours. We also run on EOS. Don't like the automatic goals progress. Does work for me, so I used manual instead. I also had all kinds of fancy custom statuses that complicated things when moving a task from a list to another (e.g. adding a off-track rock to the issues list). Now I use a custom field for statuses and only have To Do and Completed as built-in status.
I also have 1-year Plan as a list in OKR format. The KRs are subtasks of the O, and the KRs can be Quarterly objectives. i.e. I create the same KR in the Rocks list and link the 2 via a relationship field.

Do you use a weekly scorecard with KPIs?

We have a weekly scorecard for EOS (so yes, very similar). You'll see more of that process in this video: th-cam.com/video/oOcIvSYXWj4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HL4MJSBa66rH0NKn

Thanks for this video, it's really helpful! When you link tasks to a goal, the goal progress bar will update as the linked tasks are marked as complete?

Great question. Unfortunately no, that progress bar is updated from the subtasks underneath the parent task.
However, you can get something similar here for linked tasks. If you use a "Rollup" field, you're able to pull and see the statuses, time estimates, time tracked, etc.of those tasks that are linked to your goal!

Thanks for this video! Very useful.
I have a big doubt about how you explain what an Objective is with your template. For example, you define an Objective as "110+ FTAs" and then within this objective you talk about using the S.M.A.R.T. methodology to correctly define the Objectives, but nowhere do I see how you defined the visualization of the Key Results and how the KPIs would look to make a weekly measurement and review. I only see subtasks like "40FTss", "50FTAs"... which would be like a weekly review of whether a KPI is being met or not.
I hope you can help me, since I think the way you put together this template is great.

The subtasks are a way to track milestones towards a goal or objective for a certain period of time.
Each subtask could represent a key result and when that key result is reached you could close it to help track progress. Otherwise, you could just track key results within the parent task description.

How do you get the doc to show up on each of the goals whenever you open them up? Also, is there a way to create the updates for progress as a template that auto-populates each week?

You could just write everything that would be in the doc in the task description. Your options are just having everything in the task description, or pasting the docs url into the task description.
And no, it would have to be copied and pasted. We use a tool called Text Expander that makes this process a bit easier.

@@ZenPilot I'm also facing the same challenge.. How do you use this text expander? does it copy and paste information from the previous task into the new one, so you can pull up the topics covered in the previous status/progress report?
