- Good morning Young Groms, as you might know I've been struggling to get a proper session in with high wave count, good quality rides and that sort of X factor that brings you back to surfing. In this video, I think we finally achieved the X factor we were looking for. Throughout the journey, we scored solid waves, surfed a new spot and caught long rides with a great crew. And the best part we got it all on film to share you all. The mission started out a little rough with school and engine trouble, got rougher along the way... but a few perfect rides made it all worth it. Make sure to check out @williamkuli on Instagram after he shot the bulk of the vlog. And we have even more sessions to show in part 2.

What a session. How did you like the board with the uprights vs. the keels? It looked way more playful and fun but still really controlled.
After riding both boards, I finally realized the super long Keel fins are outdated to me. We both agreed the upright fins are much more maneuverable. I'm not really a fin quiver guy cause its expensive... but probably never getting keels again for a board

What height mini simmons do you recommend for a 6 foot Rider?
For a person who is 6'0... it would depend more on the weight. I think a 5'6 is a very good size. You can hit up Timmy at ARC to talk through some dimensions. He responds to any and all DMs!

@@SamuT79 I would recommend going very wide, no narrower than 22 1/2... 22 7/8 wide would be a good number even 23" wide!
You are finding some awesome waves! For some reason your POV footage seems to be aiming low, it feels unnatural for a surfer like me watching your video, trying to surf with you to not have the peripheral view of the wave and the horizon... Maybe just worth a recalibration of the gopro. Your exploits are incredible! I just want to see from YOUR point of view surfing them.
Thanks I've been trying to improve the GoPro footage... next session deff gonna angle it up. I feel like its also zoomed in more than yours. Somehow you fit the wave and the nose of the board in your shots. Been shooting on "superview' but not sure why it seems zoomed in
