I never ever heard such cool ass tablet. My son Jesse saysone day. Mom you need alittle punk in your life. Then he turned me on to Devil makes three. Thank you Jesse and this band. Love and peace. Juanita. Hamlin. 2019
I’m almost two decades late lol I’m 24 but apparently this album came out in 02 and I’ve been hooked on their music too not sure what genre they fall in but also me being Mexican people are going to be surprised that I listen to this ! Beatles are my favorite band tho 😅
@@keyaolson991Agreed! I need that live show on vinyl! I quote “Play some Slayer!” all the time but of course no one has a clue what I’m talking about 😅
I discovered this band when I was kicking (Something that done killed me once, legally dead but friends brought me back through CPR.) As a musician, if that means anything, I feel that this band is the best band out there right now. I love their harmonies and song writing is absolutely fantastic!!!!
You know how there's that song that you just want to hear more than any other one at any given moment of time....That's this song right now. Can't wait to see them at Roo.
I don't think states have their own sub-genres, but you're right they are not true Bluegrass. They have some Bluegrass, Rag, Blues, Folk, maybe a little Swing elements, but they are The Devil Makes Three, who cares what genre they are.
@mikeov8 after the first line, "I see you out at every bar now baby, no matter where I go," he pays an open G, then moves it to an open G7, if that was what you were looking at.
Garrett, I only care to the extent that some folks unfamiliar with Bluegrass think they are playing Bluegrass. I love their eclectic style culled from a variety of genres. They ain't your Daddy's Bluegrass band though.
@poopoohead10 Watch Lucia start singing "Smoke Weed and Worship Satan" in the beginning of the KEXP session's Aces and Twos. Very nice and pretty hilarious!
'Play a Train Song', written by Todd Snider I believe. If not written by Snider, he al least has the best version I can find. Great song though, would like to hear Devil makes Three's version!
Don't get me wrong. I love this band, but they are not a Bluegrass band. The music is closer to Texas Swing than bluegrass. I mean just because they have a Banjo, and Stand Up Bass doesn't make them a Bluegrass Band. Come on. I'd call them NoGrass to be more precise maybe California Swing, just sayin'...
Underrated legends

Absolutely wonderful. Don't care about naming the genre - I know it gets my feet tapping and boogying around the house. Bravo!

They're heavy metal to the core
As someone who lives in Carolina and in a big circle of bluegrass folks. We approve. Who cares what style they play.
Such a wonderful band!
Love your music. You guys are awesome!
Very good!
Cooper’s solo in this is just so good.
The tempo's so much different here than on the album. A little peppier, a little faster ... I like it!

I saw in a closeup the chick is wearing Sony MDR-7506 headphones, is that what they're all using?
I've been told that the MDR-7506 is an industry standard. I have not verified this but they seem like great studio monitors.
@bapbap22 Play A Train Song by Todd Snider awesome stuff made me respect DMT even more.
Play some slayer!
Get on the newgrass wave or be left behind at the festivals! Also, blame Sam Bush.
