Using your sample for an example. My knitting in the round has 14 repeats each 14 wide.. My row has 4 no stitchs. So it's 10 stitches and then I start the next repeat pattern. Do I put my marker out at the 14 and carry it around?

I am working on a flat swatch with the first seven rows has six no stitch blocks. I knitted the first row then when I get to the end of the second row, I have six stitches left over before I turn my work. I am stumped of what to do. Please help!

So when you have no stitch do you still leave it on the left needle? Or do you take it off the needle while you purl the next stitch on the left to right needle?
The grey box doesn't mean anything - pretend it's invisible - it doesn't have anything to do with the next stitch on the left needle. Move on to the next box in the chart and do that thing with the next stitch. You're not skipping or moving any stitches.

I still don't get this. I am working in the round on a hat, and I am on row 39 (near the top) just starting my decreases. I am at one section that has 5 stitches in that part. That section calls for a skp2 on the 3rd stitch, yet I have the no-stitch symbol on either side of the skp2. How am I supposed to make that stitch? And in the rows above, there are long, long sections of the grayed-out no stitch box, on either side of the skp2. Do I just go ahead and knit those stitches before and after the skp2?
Don't knit the stitches before and after the decrease - the gray boxes represent stitches that are no longer there. When you work the skp2 you are taking 3 stitches and turning them into one - so you'll see one box for the decrease and then a box to either side that is gray to represent those stitches that are now gone. Does that make sense? When you see a gray box ignore it and go on to the next box and do whatever that box tells you to do.
This is the section I am at; K1, gray box, skp2, gray box, K1. So I knit the K1, then I slip or knit the following gray box? Hard to ignore it. Then I have the skp2, which in order to do this, includes the gray box just after that symbol. Then I knit the next stitch. Then above that row, the gray no-stitch zone expands to a multitude of stitches. I think I'll have to go to my LYS to get some hands-on help. I am so confused. Or does that skp2, now move over (to the right) in a sense to the second stitch worked in that row, and I end up with 3 stitches in that section? Thanks for your help and quick reply.
You're not ignoring the stitch on your needle - you're ignoring the box. If it's a 'no stitch' box just move to the next box and complete that action with the stitch on your needle.
Mine, too. I was totally confused. You are a godsend. Now I know when you reach the “no stitch” you just go on to the next stitch in the pattern. At least I how that’s what it means. Pray 🙏🏿 for me.

What happens if the no stitch is in the middle of the chart?
Doesn't matter where it is. Just let your eyes skip over it and do the action in the next box.

You don't 'do' anything - it's just a symbol on the chart that's acting as a placeholder. Skip over it and do whatever's next on the chart.

I finally understand! Yay!! It made sense, once someone at my LYS helped me out. I was making it too hard.
