Sixpence None the Richer played at the 1999 L.A. Marathon. My (then) 1 1/2-year-old daughter and I danced as they played. The smiles from the band were so warm and exuberant! That is a memory this old guy will cherish forever!

It has been 25+ years since I immigrated to the states and this song always brings back memories when I would listen to the radio after school when I didn't know English. I was at the performance and while she did okay for someone in her depleted condition, it's sad to see someone with her talents like that. Given her recent employment by 10K Maniacs, I have hopes that it isn't a chronic thing.
