Kleine Scheidegg is located directly at the foot of the North Face of Eiger mountain in the Bernese Oberland. It is the watershed between the two Lütschinen valleys. It is a popular starting point for the Jungfrau train to the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe station, the highest train station of Europe. This hiking paradise can be reached from Grindelwald, Wengen and Lauterbrunnen villages via Wengernalp railway trains or via hiking from these villages. It offers a walking area surrounded by timeless beauty at the foot of the mighty Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, trio mountains located in the Jungfrau region of Swiss Alps.

It's so beautiful because snow is piled up on the mountain and grass is full underneath.

Almost my favourite rail journey in the world, it's only beaten by the trip UP on the same train, fun little detail the building of the train station at Wengen effectively resulted in the village center moving 5 minutes walk up hill, the original village square can be found by walking out of Wengen station and taking the road past the Coop and under the railway bridge down the hill, a couple of minutes walk will take you just past the Baren hotel to the original village square
From the description, the name of the BOB station "Zweilütschinen" makes more sense

Spectacular video, but why a cog railway with overhead cantenary?
Interesting that Wengernalpbahn seems to be sharing its name with that little station Wengernalp. A couple of years ago I hiked from Eigergletscher to Wengernalp and learned a valuable lesson: it's a steady downhill walk and it's much better to hike uphill! When you hike up you merely get a bit tired but when you hike down for 2-3 hours, the tendons in your legs go out to lunch for a couple of days following. But the views!!
Always hike up (as much as one can) and then take a cable car or train to go down to prolong the life of knees 😁😊
We've walked the same route it seems, except I took the even steeper section from near Wengernalp down into the Trummeltal, past the lonely Alp farm at Prechalp and down into the bottom of the Lauterbrunnental at the Trummelbachfalle. An absolutely fabulous walk, but nearly 3 hours long and relentlessly steep downhill. My feet were pretty sore afterwards!

Bonjour AKSense. You can film in 5K what you want in virtual nothing will replace the real connection with nature. You are probably unaware of it manipulated by the system, that's how we recognize the PO.

What kind of power system do you have? Two conductors? But only one conductor in the station?
On this track, no personal required at the station 🚉 to control the regular activity
Question: What is the way out for the felled trees? What vehicle comes along to remove timber?
In general, trees fallen on the train tracks here are cut (in a couple of minutes or so) and removed. (Track plough is used for removing heavy snow on the track)
@@AKSense Track plow for snow, yes, thanks! I guess something similar can be fitted to remove the logs.
Helicopters are also routinely used for quick removal of logs/ emergency situations.
Lovely, but loses nothing from being played at 2x speed!
